田田2010年寒假于在谦学堂读经时，老师曾教他们念英文I promise myself。我听几次，突然意识到这正是我上学时励志格言的英文版，这些话在很长的时间里，一直是支撑自己的信念，这些境界，虽暂不能至，然心向往之。

   答应自己：

   将如此坚强，任何事物都无法扰乱内心的静谧。

   和所见的每一个人谈论的都是健康、幸福与舒畅，让你所有的朋友都感到他们各有所长。

   只想最令人欢喜的事物，仅盼最让人欣然的结局。

   对别人的成功报以一样的欢呼。

   忘却以往的过失，去争取未来更大的建树。

   将永远面带一种愉悦的容仪，对所见的每一个生灵送上一个可心的笑意。

   将过于忙于完善自己，而无暇对他人吹毛求疵。

   将过于豁达，不会忧虑；过于高贵，不屑动气；过于硬朗，不知畏惧；过于快活，不容心生芥蒂。

   永远相信自己慈善的本性，并用行动而非言语向世界表明。

   坚信只要忠于自性之善，整个世界终将站在自己一边。

  I promise myself 
To be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person I meet.
To make all my friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make my optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature I meet.
To give so much time to improving myself that I have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of myself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words, but in great deeds.
To live in the faith that the whole world is on my side, so long as I am true to the best that is in me.
