俞平伯（1900-1990），原名俞铭衡，祖籍浙江德清，生于苏州。中国现当代著名诗人、学者，作家。毕业于北京大学。先后任浙江省视学，上海大学、北大女子文理学院教授，一度赴英、美，均不久即返。回国后，任燕京大学、清华大学、北京大学、北平大学、中国学院等院校教授。他是中国白话诗创作的先驱者之一。提倡过“诗的平民化”。曾与朱自清、郑振铎、叶圣陶等人创办五四以来最早出现的诗刊《诗》月刊。建国后，俞平伯历任北京大学教授，中国社会科学院文学研究所一级研究员。

Yu pingbo(1900-1990), formerly known as Yu Ming Heng, native of Zhejiang Deqing, born in Suzhou. Chinese modern and contemporary famous poet, scholar and writer. He graduated from Beijing University. Of zhejiang province inspection, Shanghai University, Peking University professor ARTS woman, once the UK, the United States, were soon back. After returning home, he served as professor institutions Yanjing University, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Beiping University, Chinese colleges. He was one of the pioneers of Chinese vernacular Poem. Promote the "Poems civilians." He worked with Zhu ziqing, zhen, who founded the earliest since the May Fourth Movement of Poetry "Poetry" magazine. After the founding, he served by Yu Peking University professor, a researcher at the CASS Institute of Literature.
