When my love swears that she is made of truth 1
I do believe her, though I know she lies,2
That she might think me some untutor'd youth,1
Unlearned in the world's false subtleties.2
Thus vainly thinking that she thinks me young,3
On both sides thus is simple truth suppress'd.3
But wherefore says she not she is unjust?4
O, love's best habit is in seeming trust,4
And age in love loves not to have years told:3

I do believe her, though I know she lies,
但是我笃信她（宗教），尽管我确信她说谎，
That she might think me some untutor'd youth,
Unlearned in the world's false subtleties.
似乎还不明白这个世界上，虚伪欺诈的奥秘。
Thus vainly thinking that she thinks me young,
Although she knows my days are past the best,
Simply I credit her false speaking tongue:
