11月29日，天津问津书院召开了“纪念华世奎诞辰150周年学术讨论会”。会议由今晚报副刊部主任、著名文史学者王振良主持。问津书院负责人李云飞先生出席会议。李炳德、罗文华、吴裕成、章用秀、高成鸢、何德骞、孙肇净、由国庆、葛培林、倪斯霆、张绍祖、井振武、于长水、王海冰、孙国胜、阎伯群、刘宗江、方博、徐凤文、曲振明、周利成、侯福志、尹树鹏、李志刚、周正、杨传庆等专家学者，以及华家后人书画家华克齐、华绍栋、华绍莹、华绍慧等应邀参加会议。会议主办方为精心准备了宣传海报、由设计得华绍莹签名的书签、代表证。杜鱼先生编辑整理了《思闇学行录》（论文集）1册（《问津》总第23期，笔者的3篇文章入选）。专家和华氏后人从家世、交游、艺术等诸多方面进行了研讨，获得了很多信息，为对华世奎作更深入的研究提供了基础。笔者周日上午在意式风情区参观，曾看到几幅华世奎先生书写的诗文条幅（石刻），悬于威尼斯广场西侧的某个角落里，对这位大家的艺术成就肃然起敬，也对李云飞先生多年来在传承桑梓文化，保护天津历史建筑方面的重要贡献由衷敬佩。
