HP Labs China Research Work Preview
Readers of HP Labs China blog may wonder about what researchers at HP Labs China are really working on, at lab, a “mysterious” place. We have introduced several research projects before, but our friends may want to know more. For some of our friends, they may know the main research directions  here are “information analysis”, “networking”, and,  of course, “Web”. But, what have our researchers done exactly?     该视频演示了“文章提取”工具，将帮助用户从网页中提取有用信息，并重新排版，用以协助用户，在打印网页内容时，可以只将有用的信息打印出来。 

Article Clipper：an article extracting tool

The video demonstrates article extracting tool which will help user extracting useful message and rebuild the layout. By using this tool, user will be able to print only interested message while printing webpages.

                          SIPs向导演示

    该视频演示了SIPS向导的使用。用户可以将自己在网络上浏览到的信息进行选点，系统将自动保存，并将其自动排版生成一个统一的文件，供用户保存、发布或打印。此外，该系统提供自动更新功能，相关的信息过一段时间再打开后，系统会自动前往原来的网站抓取最新的信息。

SIPS Wizard: information saving and publishing system

The video demonstrates SIPS functions. User can filter and select information read from Internet, and the system will save and generate automatically a file with layout to facilitate information saving, publishing or printing. More than that, the system also provides auto-update function: when opening a saved file, system will go to original web sources to find newest version of relevant information.
