    目前，惠普中国研究院的研究方向集中于以下两大课题：

    信息管理：致力于将Web和企业中的数据转化为有价值的信息，以提升用户体验和组织生产力。研究领域包括信息抽取、信息检索、数据挖掘、大规模数据管理、高性能计算等。

    网络：2010年4月，惠普完成了对3Com公司的收购，而3Com旗下的华三通信技术有限公司（简称H3C）也一起并入惠普帐下。惠普中国研究院将与H3C在北京的研发团队紧密合作，致力于高端企业级网络设备的研发。惠普中国研究院把网络列为科研重点，也是公司发展战略的必然一步。

    为了发展需要，惠普中国研究院近期计划面向社会和各大高校进行扩招，具体招聘细节如下：

    HP Labs China is now seeking global top talents to fill its multiple open Research positions at all levels (senior and junior). HP Labs is the company’s central research organization with a mission in delivering breakthrough technologies and technology advancements that provide a competitive advantage for HP, by investing in fundamental science and technology in areas of interest to HP.

Research areas include (but are not limited to):
    (1) The information analysis technology to help users to turn data on the web or in organizations into valuable information. The research areas of interest include information extraction, information retrieval, data mining, natural language processing, large scale data management, and high performance computing.
    (2) Research in enterprise and data center networks, including high performance network appliances, network management, network security, network mobility, and key network applications such as WAN performance optimization and network storage. Especially, the research on designing parallel algorithms and architectures using reconfigurable hardware for high-performance, low-power, flexible and robust network infrastructure.
    Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. or Master degree in Computer Science with a solid background and a strong publication record in a research field related to the aforementioned areas. An ideal candidate is one who has strong passion for research and has an extended independent research experience in the relevant areas.
