                            The night is darkening round me,

           夜渐渐暗下来，笼罩四周，

           　The wild winds coldly blow;

　          寒风狂野地怒吼；

           But a tyrant spell has bound me,

          可我禁锢于蛮横的符咒，

              And I cannot, cannot go.

             我不能走，不能够。

          The giant trees are bending

         那一棵棵大树弯下了头，

         　Their bare boughs weighed with snow;

　　　秃枝将积雪承受；

         The storm is fast descending,

　　风暴正在疾降，狂飚飕飕，

        　And yet I cannot go.

　       但我不走，不能够。

        Clouds beyond clouds above me

        云在我头顶上层层加厚，

       　Wastes beyond wastes below;

           脚下是荒野丘丘；

       But nothing drear can move me;

       但使我气馁的啥也没有；

        　I will not, cannot go.

四周的夜越来越昏暗，

　凄冷的狂风正在怒吼。

有个【专】横的符咒捆住了我，

巨树弯下【躯干】，

　而我却不能走。

头顶【是无边的】乌云一层又一层，
