绿荫一侧应该还有个平台，现在水位较高被淹看不到了；

记得儿时夏天学游泳时因平台上的青苔而滑到把左耳摔成了两半，到医院缝合了6针；

如果你已认不得老米了，就只要看老米左耳上的疤痕哦~

there should be a platform on the greenery side, now it was covered by the water due to a high level of the river; still remember on a summer day trying to learn swimming in the river, i slipped over because of the moss on the platform,  the fall cracked my left ear into two, and my left ear was sutured up by 6 stitiches at the hospital; so, in the future, if you come across me and could not recognize me, just touch my left ear to feel the scar ...

小时候这条弄堂走得最多，三年级之前，家住镇政府招待所食堂的楼上，

去母亲宁夏路的布店都是走这条小弄，一直以为叫干河弄，自认为小河干枯后变成了现在可以走路的小弄

i walked frequently in this lane when i was at the No.2 Primary School till grade 3 because it was the main route from my house on the second of the local government canteen to my mum's working place - a shop selling fabrics at Ningxia Road; i took for granted the lane was a stream before it was dried and gradually became the present lane for walking ~

小学三年级之前从家里到二完小上学（之后因搬家而转学到一完小上学）

如果不想走隔壁的乌弄堂，就会取道走陶家弄，再到朱家弄

from home to No.2 Primary School, if i did not like to walk in the dark lane alone just next door, then i had to take the Lane Family Tao, then from there to Lane Family Zhu to go to school, after grade 3, my family moved and i was transferred to No. 1 Primary School ...

据说北街上的老字号张一品羊肉店已搬到桥后的那家酒店内

it is said the old famous mutton shop "Zhang Yi Pin" at the North Street

 has been moved here, now it is just behind the bridge 

这只老花猫好象不太友好，对偶“猫”视眈眈哦~

this coloured old cat glaring at me seems not so friendly
