早上一醒来便看到电视上在纪念911，想起当年写的一首诗：
911
双子塔可以倒塌
五角大厦不妨炸成四角
但当两千多个无辜的
血肉之躯
在烈焰中煎熬哀号
我们不得不狂拨求救电话
给真主阿拉或任何上帝
却突然迟疑停顿了下来
如果万能的祂
连那些僭用祂名字的懦夫们
心头熊熊的恨火
都无法扑灭
附注：911是美国各地专用的紧急求救电话号码。

We really didn't care much about
the collapse of the Twin Towers
nor the Pentagon turning into a
Tetragon
but when thousands of innocent lives
were agonizing in the flames
we frantically tried to dial for help
from Allah or whichever God
Yet somehow we hesitated—
if the Almighty couldn’t even extinguish
the flames of hatred in the hearts
of the cowards who usurped His name
