除夕

对三百多个没发芽的日子
也只有这样狠下心来
爆米花般把它们爆掉

而经历过枪林弹雨的手
引燃这麽一串无害的鞭炮
却依然战战兢兢
如临大敌

CHINESE NEW YEAR EVE

Maybe it's the only way

to pop the dud days of the gone year

yet in lighting a string of firecrackers

hands that survived bullets and shells

still tremble uncontrollably

as if facing a fierce enemy
