Shopping Online

Simona really liked the idea of buying clothes on the Internet. Shopping online was much easier than running to stores, trying things on, and standing in long lines to pay for them. Simona simply sat at her computer, went to a web site, found a picture of something she liked, and clicked on it. She selected the size and the quantity, Then she completed the shipping information and paid using her credit card. It was fast and convenient.

Unfortunately, most of the clothes Simona ordered didn't fit. The shoes were too wide. The sweater was too tight. The pants were much too long. Then Simona had to pack up a box, go to the post office, and return it to the company.

After returning several things, Simona decided not to buy clothes online anymore. "But there are other things I can buy online," she thought, "Without worrying if they fit." For example, Simona wanted a new chair for her living room. She had seen a very nice one in a large furniture store downtown. She thought about it for a few days. Then she sat down at her computer and ordered it online.

A week later, a delivery person came to Simona's apartment with the chair. Several times, he tried to squeeze the chair through the door. He turned it upside down and on its side, but he couldn't get it inside her apartment. "Sorry, ma'am," said the delivery person. "This chair doesn't fit."
