今天的英文课很有意思，老师发了一张课文的复印单页，我将课文抄录如下（顺手练练英文打字）：

Say Yes

    June Carter was in love with Johnny Cash,  and that worreied her. Johnny was kind, generous, and talented. So why was she worried? Johnny was addicted to drugs.

    His addition began with one little pill. Johnny and June were singers, and sometimes they sang in concerts together. One night Johnny was really tired before a concert. "Here," another musician said. "Take this. It will give you energy." He gave Johnny a small white pill.

    Johnny took the pill, and 30 minutes later he was wide awake. Befoe the next concert, he asked the muscian for another pill. At first, he took only one pill a day. But in a few months, he needed more pills--he had to have more pills. Sometimes he took 20 pills in one day and did crazy things. He was in jail eight times because of the drugs.

    June loved Joheey, and he loved her. But June didn't want to marry a drug addict. She wrote the song "Ring of Fire" about her feelings. Johnny recorded the song and it was a big hit for him.

    Johnny Cash took the pills for seven yeas. When he decided to stop, he asked June for help. She talked to her father about it.

    "Let's pack our suitcasec," he said. "Your mother and I will help, too."

    June and her parents went to Johnny's house. First, they searched his bedroom for pills. They found hundreds of pills, and they threw them away. Then Johnny went into the bedroom, and they locked the door.

    By the third day in the bedroom, Johnny was nervous and sweating. He looked everywhere for pills--in shoes, in pockets, and under the carpet. He didn't find any. A few days later, he felt better, and he stopped looking for pills. A month later, he was a new man.

    Johnny and June were singing together in a concert when suddenly Johnny said, "June, will you marry me?" June was surprised. She didn't say anything.

    "Will you marry me?" Johnny repeated.

    There were 7,000 people in audience. "Say yes! Say yes!" they said.

    June smiled. "All right," she said. "Yes, I will."

    Johnny and June got married, and they had many happy years together. June died on May 15,2003, and Johnny died four months later. They were married for 35 years.

当我一口气将课文读完，我感觉我似乎想起了这是一个电影故事，于是，我抬起头对老师说，“This is a Hollywood Movie”,老师笑了，说道，“Yes， The Name is Walk the Line。

这篇课文就是好莱坞经典爱情影片，“一往直前”的剧情概括，也是一个真实的故事。这部电影讲述了美国传奇歌手Johnny Cash和June Carter之间曲折的爱情故事。在Johnny Cash吸毒成瘾导致事业失败、即将被社会抛弃之时，June Carter无怨无悔的留在他的身边，帮助他重新振作起来。Johnny Cash最终在音乐上取得了突出的成就，成为少有的几个同时入选美国乡村和摇滚音乐名人堂的音乐巨星之一。"Because you're mine, I walk the line"，因为有你，我一往直前。片中June对Joheey的不离不弃的真情着实让人感动。
