孟郊《登科后》英译对比附言

        登科后
                    孟郊
昔日龌龊不足夸，今朝放荡思无涯。
春风得意马蹄疾，一日看尽长安花。
Irving Y. Lo 译 ：
           After Passing the Examination
The wretchedness of my former years I have no need to brag:
Today’s gaiety has freed my mind to wander without bounds.
Lighthearted in the spring breeze, my horse’s hoofs run fast;
In a single day I have seen all the flowers of Ch’ang-an.

东海仙子译：
                   Succeeded in Imperial Exam
                                By Meng Jiao
The old shabby and awkward life isn’t worth mention.
I felt extremely happy today without the depression.
In the spring wind the proud horse ran a two-beat pace.
I toured all sceneries of Chang-an in a day with grace.         

自娱自乐译：
No talk of my humble life in the past,
Now the horizon opens wide at last.
In spring breeze my horse struts fast,
All Chang-an’s viewed today though vast.【此句似值得斟酌】

许渊冲译：
       Successful at the Civil Service Exam
Gone are all my past woes! What more have I to say?
My body and my mind enjoy their fill today.
Successful, faster runs my horse in vernal breeze,
I’ve seen within one day all flowers on the trees.

曾冲明译：
             After Success in Exams for Office
No bragging  all dirtiness of exams for office in the past.
Today's freedom from life makes my thoughts boundless.
Due to my success, the horse In vernal breeze runs fast.
In a single day I've enjoyed the capital with all its flowers.
【对比附言】：第一首译文不押韵，但比较准确。其他三首均为音节押韵。各有千秋。但我觉得第二首更好。许老译文没有译出“龌龊”、“长安”等重要细节。鄙人的译文以单音押韵，欢迎批评。
