邓恩 康韦尔(Dean Cornwell)（1892年3月5日 - 1960年12月4日）. 康韦尔的油画装饰性插图，在20世纪前半曾是美国最有名的流行书籍和杂志、广告和爱国海报的插画代表。 不断攀升的人气，为他赢得了 “插画师院长” 绰号。

   康韦尔出生在肯塔基州的路易斯维尔。 18岁高中毕业后，就到“路易斯维尔先驱报”做漫画插图，从这开始了他的职业生涯。 此后不久，就搬到芝加哥，一边在芝加哥论坛报工作，一边到芝加哥艺术学院上学。 1915年邓恩 康韦尔移居纽约，（在世界上最负盛名的艺术教育机构之一，）纽约哈维邓恩艺术学生联盟学习。接着又到伦敦，在弗兰克布兰奇温的门下学习画画。

    康韦尔为萨巴蒂尼图书出版的赛珍珠、劳埃德道格拉斯、埃德娜费伯、海明威等作家写的书做插图。 康韦尔还取得了令人瞩目的壁画，其中一些仍然可以在洛杉矶、华盛顿、林肯纪念堂和洛克菲勒中心的公共图书馆的墙上看到他的作品。

   战争结束后，他画了通用汽车公司、施格兰、可口可乐和固特异的广告。 康韦尔是1922至1926年插画家协会主席。1960年12月4日逝世，享年68岁。
