Recognizing The
Relevance Of Knowledge
In my blog
titled
" Origins Of
Knowledge ", I
want
to
regard it as a kind
of gift to my readers
to introduce
a special
case .
In
this case , a
p atient with
renal failure
has
got
effective treatment
with TCM ( Tranditional
Chinese
Medicine
), and on November 23 , 2019 , a
TV station
broadcast
a program called
"Chinese Medicine
with
Miraculous Methods and
Chinese Herbs with
Soulful Feelings ."
and this
case was introduced
in
detail in that
program .
It has
been proved by this case again that our TCM
and
western medicine should develop individually
based on
one's own therapeutic effect
, and
it has
also been proved by this case
that there
is no need
to force them
to entangle
with each other
, and no
need to
force them to refer to each other .
In fact ,
what we should believe is the
impeccable
therapeutic
effect that TCM
has shown us now .
Actually
, we should insist the First Law of
Medical
Science , that is
:
We
should discuss science according to facts
,
and meanwhile
, we should discuss medical
science according to
curative effects
.
Therefore ,
what our TCM only needs is to dicuss
questions
according to facts and curative effects
,
which is the
very Learning
Spirit , Scientific
Literacy and Great
Wisdom .
As for
someone who can't understand it , it's
just
because of his
own professional level ,so
never
be
trapped by it .
This is
like protecting eyes .
As long
as your eyesight is normal , you don't
need
to wear presbyopic glasses borrowed
from others !
Objectively speaking , both
TCM and
Western
Medicine are
the sciences of human health .
So
, it is clear
that there are
some correlations
between these
two sciences .
But it
doesn't mean
that contemporary science
can explain
these
correlations right now
.
Maybe in
the near future , w estern
medicine will
understand
these correlations
.
So , it
is not necessary to be in a hurry
to
understand these
correlations or even want
to interpret everything from
the theory of TCM
with
western medicial terms
.
Now,if we
interpret TCM in that way ,
we
possiblely waste
a lot of research
resources
or ask
for nothing but insults
only because
ourselves .
For
example , there is a very popular
TCM textbook ,
it first
introduces the five zang (
the five viscera )
based
on the basic
knowledge of western medicine ,
and
then introduces them once
again based on the
theory
of TCM .
But in
this way ,
it make readers feel something far
fetched or
even something ridiculous in
the end .
All of
these are just because
that we go too far
and
we
eager impatiently to explain
these correlations
between
TCM and Western medicine , but it is
not
the time
for such explaining now .
In fact ,
our TCM has it's own theory and
there are a
large
number of actual cases to prove TCM theory
to
be
effective in treatments for
many diseases,
and
lots
of such cases have already
been reported on TV .
Such a
combination of theory and
practice is
good
enough
.
Therefore , it is not
necessary to borrow those poor theories from
others to explain our TCM , or it
will
mess our
TCM theory up , so that it
will make things
worse
and worse .
Let us
take a look at the history of science
and
technology ,
then we will see
that the correlations
among
different
kinds of knowledge
have been
realized little by
little .
Such
realizating cases can
be found
in this
history
here and
there.
Even the
knowledge correlations between TCM
and
Western
medicine are no exception .
