明亮的星！我愿意像你那样坚定—— 　

但不是以孤寂的光华，高悬夜空，　　

并且观察着，永远睁着眼睛， 　　

像自然耐心而无眠的隐士， 　　

不断望着海潮，祭司一般，

清洗人类大地的边岸， 　　

或者凝视柔软的新雪落下，　　

为群山和沼泽罩上面具—— 　　

呵，不，——我只愿坚定不移，

枕在我美丽爱人成熟的胸脯， 　　

永远感受它柔软的起起伏伏； 　　

永远醒着，在甜蜜的不安中， 　　

继续，继续听着她温柔的呼吸， 　　

就这样活着——或是昏晕地死去。 　

Bright star, would I were steadfast as thou art--- 　　

Not in lone splendour hung aloft the night 　　

And watching, with eternal lids apart,

Like nature's patient, sleepless Eremite, 　　

The moving waters at their priestlike task 　　

Of pure ablution round earth's human shores, 　　

Or gazing on the new soft-fallen mask Of snow upon the mountains and the moors--- 　　

No---yet still stedfast, still unchangeable, 　　

Pillowed upon my fair love's ripening breast, 　　

To feel for ever its soft swell and fall, Awake for ever in a sweet unrest, 　　

Still, still to hear her tender-taken breath, 　　

And so live ever---or else swoon to death
