从西门共享单车骑行到白马路乌山立交桥下的东西河西头，沿河北岸徒步进入黎明湖公园，再经乌山路，从乌山南坡上山，北坡下山，再骑车回西门。东西河是福州市区东西走向的一条内河，西自白马北桥接白马河，东经高桥入琼东河。黎明湖公园位于乌山脚下，由原黎明湖改建而成。乌山又称乌石山、射乌山，位市中心，海拔84米，与于山、屏山鼎足而立，被称为“福州三山”。相传汉代何氏九仙于重阳节登乌山揽胜，引弓射乌，故又称“射乌山”。唐天宝八年（749年），唐玄宗敕名为“闽山”。宋代熙宁年间，郡守程师孟又以此山可与道家蓬莱、方丈、瀛洲相比，便改其名为“道山”。乌山于唐代时就已是游览胜地，这里林木参天，风景幽深，山上有古人留下的200多处摩崖石刻，篆、隶、楷、行、草各臻其妙，其中唐代书法家李阳冰的篆书，堪称一绝。山上的道山亭为程师孟所建，曾任福州太守兼福建路兵马领辖、唐宋八大家之一的曾巩作《道山亭记》，记述了乌山风景和福州风土民俗。此次行程只走了乌山的一部分。
