博主的话：今天晚自习整理课题资料时，发现了学生高二时的辩论材料。当时，我校正在抓学生课堂使用手机的问题。我便组织本班学生用英语对手机利弊进行辩论。我要求学生自由分组，正方与反方。当时可为难了正方，他们认为，他们处于劣势，因为，学校观点明确，校园不准带手机。但是我鼓励他们，我们辩论主要是训练英语口语，英语思维，只要分析得体，把握到位，抓住特点，劣势也能反败为胜的。于是，正反两方学生，利用课余时间查阅资料，小组讨论，写成文字。下面的文字均出于我的两个班的学生们。我在这里且不探讨其观点是否正确，语言是否地道，就学生的热情参与、积极探讨这一点来看，我已经感到满意和欣慰。现把辩论内容贴出来与大家分享。

Gu Liyun from Class 20:

    I hold the view that students should be allowed to use mobile phones. By using a mobile phone, we can not only chat with our parents or friends when we miss them or have difficulties which we can’t deal with,we can also play games to relax ourselves when we feel stressful.The Most important thing is that we can use mobile phones to do some research and read some news.After all, we are no longer children, we can tell what is wrong and what is right, so we can make good use of mobile phones.

    I do agree that teenagers should be allowed to use cellphones .As a teenager,we should pay more attention to the society.Using a cellphone is an effective way for us to open our eyes.

   If we are in trouble,we can use cellphones to ask for help.And we  can also share something interesting with them.In that way  we can build a good relationship with each other.

    In my opinion, cellphones should be allowed to use in  school.First, a cellphone is one of the quickest tools for us to exchange information.Besides,it’s fashionable and useful. Besides, we can relax ourselves by playing games with a cellphone when we are tired after class.If  there’s  an abrupt accident , it can be  most convenient for us to protect ourselves immediately by dialing for help.

    I think cell phone is good for us.First,it’s convenient for us to chat with friends anytime. Second,We can learn more news from it.If you are unhappy or tired , you can listen to music by using cellphones.

    The main advantage of mobile phone is that it can be used anytime and anywhere to access the internet. It can easily connect both you and your parents and friends between a long distance. Besides, you can relax yourself by playing games.

(Xie Hongli from Class 20):

    I think it is convenient for us to use in many ways. If we want to hear the voice of our parents, we can use mobile phones . In our spare time, the music from a mobile phone can reduce our study pressure.

(Huang Yilong from Class 17) :

   It is necessary for us to have a mobile phone.Firstly,we can ask our parents or friends for help.Besides ,we can learn English words by using cellphones.And we can also enjoy some popular music or send messages to our friends so that we can relax ourselves.

(Huang Luhong from Class 17) :

   In my opinion,students should be allowed to use cellphone.First of all,cellphones may build a bridge to connect students with their parents,especially for those who are far away .Secondly,cellphones can searve as  machines with which we can get information we need.Besides ,it can also be used to play music.What’s more,cellphones can play an important role when we are we are lost in a strange or dangerous place,we can call 110 for help.I still remember one day when I arrived in  Yudu county ,it was very late with  no buses around.  But it was still a long way from my own village.So I called my father and he picked me up by his motorbike.Only at that time did I realize how convenient it was to have a mobile phone.

    I think a cellphone is one of the quickest tools for us to exchange information and it is also a fashionable and useful invention.We need to make the best use of it.Suppose there’s a sudden accident,it is more convenient for us to dial for help immediately.There are also some games we can use to relax ourselves  when we are tired.In my opinion, it’s not wrong to follow the fashion,but the most important thing is how to use it in a right way.

    In my opinion , a cellphone benefits us a lot , so students should be allowed to use them.The followings are the reasons why I insist on my opinion. Firstly,it would be convenient to communicate with their parents and friends if students have cellphones when they feel lonely or not in a good mood,they can call up whoever they want to share their sadness.Besides,when studenets are lost in a forest where there isn’t anyone they can turn to, the best way for them is to use cellphone to call for help.So I suggest that  students should have cellphones.

(Huang Xiaofang from Class 17) :

    As we all know,nowadays it is an information society,so the cellphone is becoming one of the fastest information tools we should fully make use of.Cellphones can help us contact our parents when dealing with an emergency. Besides, we can also relax ourselves by playing mobile phone games.

(Sun Yanhua from Class 17) :

    I think students can use cellphone because they can easily get in touch with their parents and teachers.The free access to the cellphone can reduce the worries from them.Students can talk to them about their problems.Besides,the cellphone can also be used as a dictionary ,which is a great help in our English.
