1．Mobile Phone Application Software Engineer

Goals/Mission
We are developing Application Layer and User Interface software for BenQ 2G/2.5G/3G Mobile Phones for the worldwide market. Our development activities include the development of Software platform for GSM/GPRS/EDGE Phone, as well as products in cooperation with other development sites.

Tasks
• Creation of interface specification and design of software module
• Realization of software modules.
• Planning and performing unit test
• Maintaining of software modules

Education
• Bachelor degree or above, major in computer science or telecommunication

Knowledge/Language
• Strong software development skills and experience in OOA&D (be familiar with the typical design patterns)
• Professional knowledge and experience with C++, C, JAVA (J2EE, J2ME)
• Knowledge of embedded software development is an advantage
• Familiar with Application and User Interface Software development, preferred for Mobile Phones or PDA’s
• Knowledge of GSM / GPRS / UMTS / CDMA and WAP / SMS / EMS / MMS is appreciated

• Co-work with technical expert to analysis trace log from Lauterbach
• Develope software tools to analysis trace log automatically, and generate reports
• Get feedback from tools user, and improve the tools function

• Excellent MS visual C/C++ programming skills
• Very quick to learn new technology and able to share the knowledge with others

3．Logic analyzer environment setup

• Setup logic analyzer working environment for state/timing analysis
• Post analysis for trace log from logical analyzer

4．HWT - Signaling Test Engineer for Mobile Phones
Job description:
• Verify mobile phones are comformable to GSM/GPRS/3GPP standards.
Reporting structure & communication partners (internal/external)
• Directly report to group leader of product validation. Report HR issues to line manager.
Responsibilities / Tasks
• Implement GSM/GPRS/UMTS conformance test. Generate report and debug errors in protocol layer.
• Maitain and config test system. Design automatic test tools.
• Develop test cases to cover new requirements and features of GSM/GPRS/UMTS etc.
• Support RF, BB and Protocol Layer to verify the design of a mobile phone and solve problems.
• Follow up GSM/GPRS/UMTS standards. Update test cases according to latest information.
• Check the validity of standard test cases. Report errors to 3GPP and GCF/PTCRB committee.
Job requirements:
• Willing to work in BenQ after the internship
• Postgraduate students who will graduate in spring of 2007
• Major in telecommunication or mobile communication

5．Antenna measurement technician

Requirement
Bachelor degree or above with Electromagnetic/Antenna Focus.
Be strongly interested in RF performance measurement.
Good at personal communications, a team player.
Good English (can read operation manual if needed) and computer skill.


Responsibility:
To do the antenna radiation performance measurement, and write the test report independently.
Work with antenna design engineer to analyze the antenna performance and find the improvement solution is needed.
Manage and maintain the test equipment.

6． SQA support

Tasks:
In charge of improving the Quality Reporting tools of the department: this includes: risk management plan, QA report and QA checklists.
This responsibility is done for the whole department which means also for Europe. This job asks frequent written and spoken communication to Germany.

Requirements:
Bachelor degree or above, major in Software engineering or Computer technique
Visual Basic programming, programming macros in Microsoft Excel.
Good spoken and written English.
Basic understanding of software engineering.
University freshman/woman with experience of programming within the study or within summer job/first experience
Affinity with Quality management

Web Developer Intern
Requirements:

• Very good Web development skills with proven working experience utilizing ASP, .Net and VB.Net programming language

• Skilled and experienced with Microsoft SQL database

• Very good knowledge of Internet workings and Microsoft Web technologies (IIS server, HTML, FrontPage)

• Skilled and experienced with Java scripting language

• Familiar with Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 2003

• Has strong graphical design capability

工作任务：
学习掌握软件测试工具、测试流程、测试方法。并利用所学软件测试流程、软件质量控制管理系统测试手机软件系统，提交测试报告。
