The Refuge Floor

Only after moving to this building,
I know what a refuge floor is
Its between the tenth and twelfth floors
people call it the eleventh floor
Huge network of air conditioning and steam pipes
coiled in the air
people are walking here, taking calls
running in circles, practicing Tai Chi and Peking Opera
A private space
The listeners are only those knitted
pipes
