一位互联网专业的应届毕业生，申请澳门大学（University of Macau）电子商务专业的硕士研究生，需要三位老师的推荐表（其中要有一位外教），用英文填写。wusir做为这位学生的毕业设计导师，提供了其中一个推荐，现就推荐表的情况做一说明，以方便其它有意申请以英语作为授课语言大学研究生的同学及老师一个参考。如有不对之处，欢迎在评论中指正。
    本表格是在线填写的，需要申请人首先提供给校方推荐人的电子邮件及职称（职务），校方会给推荐人发出电邮，给出表格链接，要求推荐人填写，wusir收到的这个推荐表格就要求迅速回复，今天下午3：30收到的邮件，要求今天就要把表格填写提交，否则会对申请人有负面影响。
    澳门大学的研究生申请在线推荐表有五项，其中前两项对所有的大学研究生申请来说大同小异，因此比较详细地谈谈这两条，后三项简单，直接照抄，摘要说明，大家明白什么意思。

1、In what capacity have you known the applicant? （你对申请人的认识有多深？）
本问题注意回答三个要点：

    a. 你（推荐人）与申请人是如何认识的，与申请人的关系，这里要包括推荐人的身份；

    b. 认识多长时间

    c. 通过前两个回复说明你（推荐人）对申请人的了解程度。

只要回答了这三个要点，就可以了，行文不必长，言简意赅。笔者的对这位申请人的情况回复如下：

I am acquainted with the applicant for over two years as her "Human-Computer Interaction" and

"Computer and Society" courses' teacher. Now I am supervisor of applicant's graduation

project.Therefore, I know the applicant very well.

2、 Please provide us with your overall assessment of the applicant and his/her potential for

success in graduate study: （请就申请人的总体表现及是否有能力完成研究生课程作出评价：）
填写这一栏时要注意你（推荐人）的身份，一般而言，大学研究生申请要求两个推荐人表，这两个有些讲究，一个应该是专业课老师，另一个应该是系主任或者辅导员之类行政人员。对于专业课老师的回复，应该注意说明学生的学习与学术研究能力，同时提一下学生的综合素质；对于行政人员的回复，应该着重说明学生的综合素质，顺便提一下学生的学术能力。这样，两位不同身份老师的推荐表，相互独立又相互印证，这样最理想。澳门大学申请研究生学习要求有外教推荐表，不同大学要求不一样，有些大学不要求外教推荐。正巧，来自英国爱丁堡龙比亚大学（Napier University）的两位外教于4月20日至4月30日给国教二年级学生上课，wusir的这位学生申请了助课，与外教有沟通，所以wusir推荐其中一个外教给她写推荐信。wusir对这位申请人的此项是这样填写的：

The applicant is an intelligent and hard-working student in Zhengzhou University of Light Industry and is excellent in the courses I taught. She is top 5% among my other students who have gone on to graduate studies in comparable fields this year.In addition to that, the applicant has done a great deal of university's social work as a cadre. It's no wonder that the applicant got the Provincial-level outstanding graduate this year.It is my belief that the applicant will succeed in graduate study because of her powerful will of study and the merits mentioned just now.

推荐表后三项抄录于下，简单说明：
3、Please select the appropriate option to indicate your assessment of the applicant with regard to the following qualities.
    a. Expression of ideas and views
    b. Original thinking
    c. Ability to work independently
    d. Capacity for analytical thinking
    e. Perseverance and drive

以上五种能力，分别有Excellent、Above Average、Average、Under Average、Poor五个级别，当然就推荐人来说，给被推荐人选前两个级别吧。

4、Where would you rank the applicant among your other students who have gone on to graduate studies in comparable fields in recent years?
    Upper 10%   Upper 25%   Upper 50%    Lower 50%

以上四个选项，自然要选前两个中的一个。
 
5、Please check one:
    I would strongly recommend
    I would recommend
    I would recommend with reservation
    I do not recommend
    this applicant for admission to graduate study.

 没说的，推荐人点击最上边的那个吧。

    在此通过澳门大学申请研究生的推荐表来举一反三，以英语授课的大学要求的推荐信差不多都是这个样子的，祝愿更多的学生尤其是轻院的学生四年大学毕业后，可以自助申请成功英语为授课语言的大学的研究生。

（补充说明：后来了解到，实际上需要两个老师推荐信就行了，但为了保险起见，申请人请了三位老师做推荐，参照其中两个即可。）
