Strategic
Sourcing & Commodity Management
· Develop commercial sourcing strategies to meet present and future supply requirements; Apply knowledge of advanced supply chain optimization solutions that foster success
· Continually search out new sourcing opportunities and implement as needed to maintain a competitive advantage and deliver business impact
· Understand commodity market trends and long-term direction of the marketplace; Establish commodity cost objectives and prioritizes activities to achieve highest impact results
· Creates and presents strong business justification and recommendations for the adoption of sourcing strategies; Develop, prepare, negotiate and execute contractual arrangements with suppliers to support Operations objectives
Supplier Relationship Management
· Develop long-term partnerships with strategic suppliers; manage day-to-day supplier performance
· Ensure suppliers meet service, cost, delivery and quality expectations, as well as provide outstanding value in product technology and supplier innovation
· Conduct operational reviews with suppliers on a regular basis; Measure supplier performance against contractual standards; Implement corrective action with suppliers who do not meet expectations
· In collaboration
with New Product operations, assist in efforts to identify and
qualify new, alternate and/or localized suppliers for key
applicable needs relative to program
requirements
Cost Planning & Management
· Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modify responsibilities, consolidate tasks, eliminate non-value-added processes or complete re-engineering of processes and systems)
· Define, develop and make effective use of cost analysis tools in support of the strategic sourcing process, procurement costs, cost reduction metrics and bottom line performance indicators
· Responsible for implementing aggressive product cost reduction program through direct supplier negotiations; Drive execution of action plans and communicate with internal business owners
Purchasing & Materials
· Directs the development and implementation of key procurement strategies, and ensures strategies are aligned with company priorities

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or
Experience
· Bachelor’ s degree in Business Administration, Materials Logistics Management or related discipline, or an equivalent proven track record in electronic manufacturing or similar environment; over 6 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· A solid understanding of xxx manufacturing, xxx industry, and materials/supply chain management is required, as well as a proven track record in negotiation and cost reduction activities and program management.
· Strong leadership skills are required. Design or New Product Development experience preferred, but not required. Domestic and international travel is required.
