一．总则　                 

本考试是河北省学位委员会为检测成人高等教育本科毕业生英语水平而组织的统一考试，目的是检验考生掌握与运用英语水是否达到了本科毕业生应掌握的知识及能力。考试采用标准化测试的方式。考试合格者，由省学位办发给合格证书。

本考试主要考核学运用语言的能力，同事也考核学生对语言知识的掌握程度，要求学生具备较强的阅读能力，一定的听、译能力以及初步的写和说的能力，使学生能以英语为工具，获取专业所需的信息，并为进一步提高英语水平打下较好的基础。

1）应试学位教材：《外国语水平考试教程 .英语》（河北省学位办编写，河北教育出版社）；

 

 

 

共30题，考试时间为50分钟。要求考生阅读若干篇短文，总阅读量不超过2500词。每篇短文后有若干个问题，考生根据文章内容从每题4个选择项中选出一个最佳答案。选材原则：①题材广泛，包括人物、社会、文化、科普常识等，但涉及的内容及背景知识应能为学生所理解；②题材多样，包括议论文、叙述文、说明文等；③文章的语言难度适中，无法猜出而又影响理解的关键词，超出要求词汇表时，则注明文中的汉语词义。

①理解文选的主旨大意；②明了有关细节和事实；③既理解书面意思，也能进行一定的推理和判断；④既理解个别句子的意义，也理解上下文的逻辑关系；⑤既要判定准确，又要有一定速度。

第三部分：完型填空(III.Cloze)：

共20题，考试时间为15分钟。在一篇题材熟悉，难度适中的短文（不超过250词）中设置20个空白，每个空白为一题，每题均有A、B、C、D四个选项。要求考生全面理解短文，选出一个最佳答案。或将选择词语给出由考生自己填入，最终使短文结构和思想恢复完整。该部分旨在测试学生英语的综合语言应用能力。

第四部分：英译汉(IV.English-Chinese translation)

共6题，考试时间为15分钟。一般从原阅读理解的短文中选出若干句子，要求学生根据对原文的理解，将选出的6题逐一译成汉语，可直译和意译，但意译要求准确，书写要工整符合汉语的表达方法。该部分旨在测试考生的笔译能了。

Few natural dangers are more feared than avalanches. Avalanches are a familiar part of European history, particularly in the Swiss and French Alps. This is where the direction of wars has turned almost instantly because of avalanches wiping out invading armies.
