三、词法精选  

1．tall与 high的用法  

high 和 tall 都有“高”的意思。tall 指身材的高度，一般用于人和动物，它的反义词是short。high 一般表示物体的高度，它的反义词是low。如：  

Tom is tall. He can climb the high mountain.

汤姆是高个子，他能爬那座高山。 

2．wear glasses 戴眼镜  

wear是“穿着；戴着”的意思，强调状态。常用一般现在时表示经常的状态，用现在进行时表示现在的状态。wear还可用来表示佩戴手表、首饰、徽章、花儿的“佩”或“戴”以及留头发、胡须的“留”，面带微笑等。如：

四、句法精析   

1．But I may be a little late.  但是我可能要迟到一会儿。  

may be是“情态动词＋be”结构，意为“可能是”，作谓语动词。maybe是副词，意为“大概；或许”，在句中作状语。

如：  He may be our new math teacher.

—He is kind and friendly.他和善又友好。  

2．描述某人外表的常用句型  

“sb.＋be动词＋形容词”或“sb.＋have/has＋名词”。用来描述外表的短语： be tall, be short, be of medium build/height(中等身材/个头)，have a medium build/height(有着中等身材/个头)。  

3．描述头发的形容词顺序：漂亮＋长短＋形状＋颜色  如：
