1. 教材分析

教材从流行的yard sale 引入话题,展开各种教学Step,主要学习现在完成时态中延续性动词的具体应用。为本单元的重点内容是学习带有for since 句子的现在完成时。学生在第八,九单元已经学习过现在完成时的相关内容。 因此Section A 主要引入yard sale话题相关的语言结构,通过听、说、和练习题等训练形式,让学生掌握带有for since 句子的现在完成时。Section B主要通过读、写的训练,力求使学生在阅读和写作的综合训练中,熟练运用延续性动词。课标对本单元的内容要求是:掌握本单元所学单词和短语,通过练习提高听说读写的技能。

2. 学情分析

本教学设计的受教对象为西安市回民中学八级学生。本校生源较差,学生英语基础薄弱,所以本节课的容量不宜过大,所以第一课时的教学内容确定1A-2C。本课时主要围绕了一个庭院售卖(yard sale )的场景呈现本单元的话题“谈论所有物”和目标结构“现在完成时”表示持续的动作和状态。学生对于yard sale 的相关背景知识不了解,所以教师在课堂中有相应的图片和文字介绍。

3. 教学目标

1.知识目标:掌握本单元重点词汇和重点句型。

2. 能力目标:通过本单元语言素材的训练,学会谈论已经完成和还未完成的事情,学会使用表示一段时间的时间状语在完成生态中的应用,并联系实际,培养学生应用英语进行交际的能力。

3.情感目标: 通过本单元的学习,使学生明白yard sale 是一件利人利己的文明行为,提倡节约,避免浪费,并引导学生投入的爱心活动中去。

4.重点难点

如何使用延续性动词,掌握其固定结构及语法应用。

5.1第一学时  

第一学时

知识目标: 1. grasp useful words :yard sale, sweet, toy bear maker, scarf,

         2.学会使用带有for since 句子的现在完成时的交际性语言.

能力目标:  使用目标语言— How long have you had the ? — Ive had it for /since 谈论自己拥有的物品多长时间,以及售卖和捐赠的原因和物品的价格。

情感目标: 使学生明白yard sale 是一件利人利己的文明行为,提倡节约,避免浪费,并引导学生投入的爱心活动中去

2教学难重点

1. 使用目标语言— How long have you had the ? — Ive had it for /since 谈论自己拥有的物品多长时间,以及售卖和捐赠的原因和 谈论物品的价格。

 2. 学会使用带有for since 句子的现在完成时的交际性语言.

教学步骤:

Step 1 Warming up and lead in

1.Play the song: The days of my past

【设计意图】营造良好的英语课堂氛围,活跃课堂气氛,为导入新课做好铺垫。

2. Show the teaching aims of this period.

【设计意图】使学生对这一节课的学习目标明确化,提高学习效率。

3. T ask Ss (1).The song brings back sweet memories to us, doesn’t it?

(2). What other things can bring us sweet memories? Some Ss may answer pictures or old things ect. T show two pictures of own, and tell Ss when the pictures were taken in 2006. Then ask Ss how long I have had them.  

(3). Do you have any old things?  What are they? ()

【设计意图】由学生刚听过的歌曲导入本课,师生自由对话,为本节课创设一个轻松愉快的课堂气氛, 同时在对话的过程中引出目标语言,自然过度到新课。

4. Show some old thingsTell Ss that I haven’t enough place to keep them, How should I deal with these old things?

【设计意图】教师通过展示自己的旧物品教授本节课新单词:toy bear, scarfbread makerboard game。创设情景:旧东西没地方收了,怎么处理?目的是为了引出本节课的话题 yard sale 为后面作一个很好的铺垫。

Step 2 Presention 

1.      In America, Canada and other western countries, people usually sell their old things in their yards. That is yard sale. Do you know something about yard sale?

2.      Get Ss to say what they know about the yard sale.

【设计意图】先通过启发让学生说出他们对yard sale的了解,再通过文字图片让了解有关yard sale 的背景知识。提高学生的参与兴趣,扩展他们的文化知识。

Step3. Listening1b 

1. Now I introduce you a friend from America, his name is Jeff. He is having a yard sale to deal with his old things. Please listen to get the answers to 1b.

2. check the answers.

【设计意图】听关于yard sale的话题,进一步明确目标言的应用,为后面的pair work做准备。

Step4. pair work

1. T get two Ss to read the conversation in 1C.

2. T show some sentences and help Ss to work pairs to make conversations in order to sell or buy some old things.

Owner: 1.Hello ! /  Good afternoon!

      2. I am interested in your…

      3.How long have you had…

      4. Why …….?

         5. How much ……          

         6.Ok, Ill take ..

Customer:  1. Hello! /  Good afternoon!

           3. I’ve had it for …

           4. Because I dont need it any more/It doesn’t fit me(适合

于我) …

           5. Its ..yuan / dollars /cents(美分).

3. T invites some pairs to the front and act out their conversations.

【设计意图】 教师通过用实物创设一个真实的yard sale 情景,让学生感受yard sale的同时,也复习巩固了本节课重点词汇及句子。

Step4 listening 2A

1. Just now, you knew Jeff, he have a yard sale to deal with his old things. Next, I introduce you the other friend , Amy. Please listen and find how Amy deals with her old things. Then finish 2A.

2. Check their answers.

3.listen again to finish 2B.

4. Check their answers.

【设计意图】通过此任务,让学生进一步学习目标语言的使用方法,提高学生对这一话题的听力水平。

Step5. Research and find

1. get Ss to read the sentences in 2B. Discuss to find the usage of for and since.

2. get some Ss to say out their result of discussion.

3. T help Ss to sum up the usage of for and since in Present Perfect Tence.

【设计意图】此处省去了2CAmy and mother 之间的对话练习,是因教师认为,在课堂上重复练习本对话意义不大,而改为让通过学生自己观察讨论,得出forsince的用法,提高学生的归纳能力,培养学生的探究发现精神,进一步巩固知识点。

Step6 exercise

Get Ss to do some exersices in order to consolidate the usage of for and since.

【设计意图】即学即用,提高学生对所学知识的运用能力,提高学生的学习效率。

Step7. Emotional Education

T : According to this period, how should we deal with our old things?

Ss: have a yard sale or give them away to people in need…

T: ask the advantages of having a yard sale and giving away to others. And tell them We should recycle and save resources and money. As well, we should always give a hand to people in need, and make the world full of love.

【设计意图】通过回顾本节课接触到的处理旧物的方法,启发学生,学会节约资源;帮助他人。

Step9 Summary 

T get Ss to sum up what they have learnt in this period.

【设计意图】回顾本节课的重点, 巩固目标语言,提高学生归纳总结能力。

Step10 Homework

  1. Write conversations according to 1c and 2c.
  2. Review conversation in 2d.
  3. Finish exercises on P89-90 of workbook.
