腾讯财经讯 北京时间8月26日晚间消息，欧盟委员会本周四宣布，同意巴菲特旗下伯克希尔公司收购Lubrizol Corp的交易。该交易的总价值达到了90亿美元。

分析师此前表示，此次Lubrizol的收购交易，表明伯克希尔公司有意扩张其在北美地区以外的业务。而在此前一段时间内，伯克希尔公司的多项收购都是针对美国本土公司。巴菲特曾多次表示，看好美国经济的复苏前景。

欧 盟委员会表示，根据其调查结果，此次伯克希尔公司收购Lubrizol的交易不会引发任何反垄断方面的重大问题。欧盟委员会在一份声明中表示：“此次交易 并不会引发公平竞争方面的问题，因为参与交易的各方所占据的市场份额都较为适度。与此同时，目前市场上还有很多有实力的竞争者。”

Lubrizol是一家发动机润滑剂生产商，其主要市场为大型卡车、客车及船舶等行业。随着全球物流行业的发展导致物品运输需求不断上升，Lubrizol的产品需求也持续上升。

The European Commission, the EU competition watchdog, said its investigation of the deal had not revealed any major concerns.

"The transaction would not raise competition concerns, because of the parties' moderate market shares and the presence of a number of credible competitors in the markets concerned," the Commission said in a statement.

Lubrizol, which makes lubricants for engines, especially large trucks, buses and boats, has seen growing demand for its products as shipping of goods increases around the world.

About 72 percent of the company's revenue came from its petroleum additives business last year, and about 65 percent of sales were from outside North America.

BRUSSELS — European antitrust authorities cleared on Thursday a bid by US billionaire Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway to acquire the US chemichals group Lubrizol Corp. for $9.7 billion (6.7 billion euros).

The European Commission said in a statement that the transaction "would not significantly impede effective competition" in the European Economic Area, or any substantial part of it.

"The commission concluded that the transaction would not raise competition concerns because of the parties' moderate market shares and the presence of a number of credible competitors in the markets concerned," it said.

Based in Ohio, Lubrizol operates manufacturing facilities in 17 countries, making lubricant additives for engine oils and fuel additives for gasoline and diesel as well as ingredients and additives for personal care products.

The deal was hit by controversy earlier this year after revelations that a former Buffett lieutenant, David Sokol, bought shares of Lubrizol before advising Berkshire to acquire the company. Sokol resigned from Berkshire in March.
