McCormick在谈到比赛的目的时说, “This is a terrific opportunity to meet other ELD students, to
show how much they have learned, and to discover that they are not
alone out there in Silicon Valley.”
was a bit surprised that Baoluo's presentation didn't succeed
further, but I under stand he was over six minute
time allotment, and perhaps the judges were harsh
about that."
how proud I am of
him!" 并说, “I think he, and all my students…will do superbly next year!”

Hieveryone. Look at this, please. It’s cook, isn’t it?
Thisis a traditional Chinese musical instrument. I don’t know if it has an English name, but I heard that people in western countries
call it “Chinese violin”. In China we call it Erhu.
Erhuwas invented by people, about 1000 years ago, in a richest
dynasty in Chinese history. At first it was use for accompany but now it’s great for solo.
Ithink you guys have already known a little bit about Erhu’s
history. Now let’s begin to know about Erhu’s shape and how to play it. Erhu has a long neck and a small body. Every Erhu is made from
wood. The better the wood, the more expensive an Erhu is. The most
expensive one I saw is about 100,000 RMB yuan. The sales person said the wood is really good and that’s why it was so expensive. Another important thing is the string. Strings are always made of steel,
