Pol Roger Brut Blanc de Blancs 2002

Tasted in May, 2016

Caramel & nut-toffee drenched bouquet, mingled with bright apple & crystalline citrus.

The palate mirrors the bouquet, with an extra dose of mineral energy -- the exciting austerity of iodized salinity & fine bitterness that forces its way through the mélange of partly evolving,  partly bright fruit.

A crystal clear scence, backing the charming mist of evolution. Really serious stuff.

I can only complain about the low acidity of 2002, which prevents it from achieving new heights!
