First impression is
terrific subtlety & refinement. Very discreet,
waxy hints of gauva & green citrus on the
nose. Pure & subtly rich palate of gauva,
stone fruit & green citrus, with lovely
fleshy, silky texture. The
richness is
presented with effortless grace.
Seamless & complete, this is a breathtaking
beauty!
With
plenty of aeration, the Jacquesson house-style gradually reveals
itself: complex, heady bouquet
of gingerbread, yellow apple, spice & earthy
minerality...Now it's much easier to blind-smell
this Jacquesson
wine! And much more
power and tension on the palate,
too.
The
old vines are
clearly demonstrating
the superior concentration in this 2004 edition.
And it boasts remarkable completeness
& terrific finesse at
such young age, completely without
dosage!
