Charles Heidsieck ' Blanc des Millenaires ' 1995 Brut Champagne (750ml)

This Prestige Cuvee of Charles Heidseick is a Blanc de Blancs made with Chardonnay from five of the best crus of the Côte des Blancs -- Oger, Le Mesnil, Vertus, Cramant & Avize.

The label of this bottle is a new version. Thus, this is very likely late disgorged.

Five years on (and very likely with longer ageing on the lees), this beauty has taken on golden, autumnal warmth.

Lush aromas of vanilla, brioche & white chocolate are enhanced by a touch of burnt toast. Silky,

regal mouthfeel. Generously full-bodied. Seamlessly fused.

With plenty of aeration, it unveils intriguing nuances of tobacco, toasted almond, roasted coffee, herb & chalk, boasting real sophistication. What's even more exciting is it still retains a touch of green, unresolved austerity.

This Prestige Blanc de Blancs from Charlie has achieved regal sophistication without any aid from oak. Truly admirable!

And the legend would not stop here! Now Charles Heidsieck has just unveiled yet another version of new label for Blanc des Millenaires 95 (possibly even later disgorgement)

And, not to mention, Blanc des Millenaires 1996 is still sleeping in Charles Heidsieck's dark cellars, not yet released... Charles Heidsieck's unusual patience, by any yardstick, for Blanc des Millenaires 96 has created huge expectations from the connoisseurs...
