1300, The family wine history begins. Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi這家超級老店位於義大利著名的Tuscany產區，也是目前在Tuscany區擁有最大面積葡萄園的公司。現在旗下的莊園有Castello di Nipozzano、Castello di Pomino、Castel Giocondo、Tenuta di Castiglioni、Tenuta dell'Ammiraglia、Santa Maria、Costa di Nugola、LUCE della VITE等，其中在1995年，Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi與美國著名酒廠Robert Mondavi共同在Montalcino西南方的古老小鎮成立了LUCE della VITE (現已100%股權屬Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi)，釀造了Super Toscana---Luce。

這次品嚐的Frescobaldi Castel Giocondo 2004雖不是它的最高等級但獲得美國知名雜誌的高度評價，2009年百大的第15名，Wine Spectator每年都會挑選出年度百大，雖有些人質疑評判標準很奇怪但其影響力還是很大。個人認為還是有相當高度的參考價值，至於Frescobaldi Castel Giocondo 2004是否有資格為2009的百大第15名，請參考各知名雜誌的評鑑以及我這次的感想吧。附帶一提，2004是義大利這產區的大年，不少酒品嚐過後確實有極大實力與潛力，酒友們可挑選一些不錯的04酒並好好在酒窖裡保存幾年吧。

The 2004 Brunello from Castelgiocondo is a lovely effort from the Frescobaldi family and one of the finest vintages to be produced at the property. 開瓶時，沉悶的梅子、水果乾、藥草與香料香氣，M body，口中香氣未出，finish順口中帶有勁度與酸度，需醒一段時間。

30分，香料、藥草與香水香氣為主體，香氣越見明顯且柔和舒服，口中甜果香也出現，其均衡度相當不錯。

1~1.5小時，藥草、中藥為主，夾帶香料香氣其之前的水果、梅子香已不在，M-F body，酒體此時最適中飽滿，口中出現不錯的香料香，finish之勁度強且不短。

2小時，香水、紅花、香料香氣，香氣濃郁舒服，但口感開始走下坡。

整體中上，現已應該喝，也可再放3年左右，但陳年後的變化應不大。
