菊花的花朵画好后,就准备画叶,画叶前先将笔用清水湿润一下,然后用笔锋蘸墨,中锋上留净一些,第一笔将笔侧锋(侧卧)展开(见图),根据花叶的方向画出不同的叶的造型,含水画出现了浓淡的花叶,待画的花叶墨未干前,用长锋的钩线笔,把花的筋勾勒出,花叶自然在宣纸上变化出明暗效果,这样花的叶就完成了。如图 画法的过程:

lesson 16.
Now we are ready to outline leaves after finishing chrysanthemum
inflorescences. Damp the brush in clean water before outlining the
leaves, and then, using the tip of the brush to dip ink firstly
with the side pen unfolded, (see picture:) sketching out the shape
of different leaves according to aspects of inflorescences. Before
the ink drying, using
long brush to draw the outline of the flower, and those leaves
are naturally effected in its dark or light in Xuan Paper, thus,
the leaves are finished. See pictures enclosed
