八指头陀、曼殊上人和弘一法师三位是近、现代最著名的爱国诗僧。
八指头陀专精于诗;曼殊上人能诗,能画,能文,能翻译;弘一法师则更为多才多艺,他除了精诣诗、词、文、画,还能演剧弹琴,书法和金石也得心应手。

这些字大都集于怀仁集王羲之圣教序,圣教序全称为《大唐三藏圣教序》,最早由唐初四大书法家之一的褚遂良所书,称为《雁塔圣教序》,后由沙门怀仁从王羲之书法中集字,刻制成碑文,称《唐集右军圣教序并记》,或《怀仁集王羲之书圣教序》,因碑首横刻有七尊佛像,又名《七佛圣教序》。这批圣教序集字春联都有配套的横批,希望对临习圣教序的书友写春联有帮助。

老子道德经
原文
《老子·道德经》原文及註繹刘先银整理编绎
道可道,非常道。名可名,非常名。无,名天地之始,有,名万物之母。故常无,欲以观其妙;常有,欲以观其徼(jiao)。此两者同出而异名,同谓之玄,玄之又玄,众妙之门。
养身章 第二
天下皆知美之为美,斯恶已。皆知善之为善,斯不善已。故有无相生,难易相成,长短相较,高下相倾,音声相和,前后相随。是以圣人处无为之事,行不言之教;万物作焉而不辞,生而不有,为而不恃,功成而弗居。夫唯弗居,是以弗去。
第三章不尚贤,使民不争;不贵难得之货,使民不为盗;不见可欲,使民心不乱。是以圣人之治,虚其心,实其腹,弱其志,强其骨。常使民无知无欲。使夫智者不敢为也。为无为,则无不治。
第四章道冲而用之或不盈,渊兮似万物之宗;挫其锐,解其纷,和其光,同其尘,湛(chén,通假字“沉”)兮似或存。吾不知谁之子,象帝之先。
万物各得其和以生,各得其养已成。
道者,同于道;德者,同于德;
玄牝之门,是谓天地根。
功遂身退,天之道也。
凡益之道,与时偕行。
