        随着社会的日益发达和复杂，教育在社会成员的生活中以及社会本身的发展过程中发挥着越来越重要的作用。首先，要想在一个飞速发展的现代社会中取得成功，一个人必须有良好的教育背景。其次，没有人在社会中是孤立的，社会生活、政治活动和许多事情要求人们互相合作。良好的教育告诉一个人如何去做，如何按照一般人接受的道德标准行动，如何平静地工作和生活，如何与周围的人合作。再次，整整一代或几代人的良好教育有助于社会在技术方面迅速进步，它相应地给整个社会带来光明的未来。因此，我们须臾不能忽视良好教育的重要性。

英语译文                                 The Importance of a Good Education

    As the society becomes more and more advanced and complicated, education plays a more and more important role in the life of individual members of the society and in the development of the society itself. First of all, one needs to have a good educational background in order to be successful in a modern advanced society. Secondly, no one is isolated in the society. Social life, political activities and many other things require people to cooperate with one another. A good education tells one how to behave oneself and act in agreement with generally accepted moral standards and how to work and live in peace and cooperation with the people around. Thirdly, good education of a whole generation or several generations helps the society to advance more quickly in technology, which in turn helps to bring about a brighter future for the whole society. Therefore, we must not for a moment neglect the importance of a good education.

       短文用first of all; Secondly 和 Thirdly 从三个方面论述了良好教育的重要性，最后用Therefore总结，概括了文章的主题。文章虽短，但简明扼要，道理深刻。
