Learning Aims

1)    Make sure that the students can use the target language correctly and fluently

What do you usually do on weekends?

I usually surf the internet and do my homework.

How often do you surf  the internet?

I sometimes surf the internet. I surf the internet twice a week.

Most of the students do homework every day.

2)    Make sure that we can use the adverbs and adverbial phrases correctly.

Kitty often goes shopping.   Kitty goes shopping four times a week.

3)    Make them clear about the use of “ hard”, “hardly”hardly ever” “can hardly” “how often” “how many times” and “ how long

Step 1. Organization and revision

Use a game to revise all the key phrases in Section A

Step 2. Task One (任务一)

Suppose you are a reporter for a magazine, your editor wants you to find out what students usually do on weekends. Can you make a survey in your group and then do a report in front of class?

The editor thinks you did a good job. Now he gives you a challenging task. He wants you to find out how often students in your class do these activities. Can you interview at least three students in your class and then make a report in front of the class?
