●The Concept

Reminiscent of the Art-Deco style, the Shenzhen Fengli Tower is a modernized version of early 20th century European style architecture. Modified for the CBD district, this 24-storey building was constructed for Government offices in 2002.

Austere, classic and commanding, this 80-meter tower has large windows with black steel detailing at the center of its facades. On either side of this central design are slim turret windows of the same height, but half the width. Each window, inset from the stone exterior uses black detailing to give it a sophisticated look.

These windows, measuring two stories tall, allow ample sunlight into the building and afford amazing views of the surrounding CBD area. With a base that extends slightly outward, the building appears to be on a pedestal, adding to its classical design.

The calm, pale stone on its facades gives way to deep blue-black steel architraves, which complement each other nicely. The attention to detail and understated beauty makes the Fengli Tower one of Shenzhen’s most attractive and classic buildings.
