一．知识点

1. dream of/about   dream of /about (doing) sth.意思是梦想着做……；

dream of/about sb. /sth.意思是梦见某人/某物

I dreamt about flying last night. 　　

Everyone dreams of a better future.

2. pretend vt.  假装；假扮 pretend to do sth/be doing sth/have done sth.

These students pretended to be reading when the teacher came back.

He pretended to have had his supper.

3. to be honest=honestly speaking  说实话地；说真地

To be honest, it was one of the worst books I've ever read.

To be honest, she's only interested in Mike because of his money.

4. attach…to… 认为（有重要性，意义等）；把。。。系在/缚在。。。上

be attach to sb/sth. 依恋、爱慕、留恋某人、某物

Attach a label(标签) to each piece of luggage.

Do you attach any importance to what he said?

The baby is very attched to his mother.

We’re very attached to this house and don’t want to sell it.

5. break up       破裂;　破碎;　拆开;  驱散

Their marriage broke up.

The police tried to break up the crowd.

Sentences can be broken up into clauses.

6. in addition  另外；也        in addition to 除了

She does exercises in order to keep fit. In addition, she is also on a diet.

In addition to a big cake, the boy ate some chocolate.

7. above all 最重要；首先(从事物的重要性上来讲)  

after all  毕竟；终究   in all 总共   not …at all 一点也不

He is strong, brave and , above all, honest.

9. rely on/ depend on 依赖；依靠

10. be/get familiar with 熟悉；与。。。熟悉起来

11. in cash   用现金   by cheque/check    用支票

13. be confident of/about…  对。。。自信
