  九年级(上)第 6单元第4课时

 

【教学目标】

知识目标

1. 掌握以下词汇: Yellow River, fisherman, latest, entertainment, feature, photography,

 gallery, photographer, display, on display, photograph, interest, class, whatever, miss,

 suggest, energy, okay, pro, con,

2. 掌握并会运用下列短语和句型

make movies, over the years, look for entertainment, a few good features, be sure to,

one of the best-known Chinese photographers, on display, interest sb, a world-class

photographer, miss this exhibition, as the name suggests, make us happy

It does have a few good features, though.

Whatever you do, don’t miss the exhibition.

能力目标:

: 通过学习本课时的短文,学会对自己看过的书和电影、听过的CD进行评述。

: 利用所学知识能复述课文。

: 能用本节所学知识评述自己看过的书和电影,对听过的CD进行评述。

情感目标:

  If you know where there is a good movie/band, tell your friend and go to enjoy it

【重点难点】

1. 教学重点    

1) 能熟练掌握本课时的词汇及句型。

2) 把握三篇评论的主旨并且试着复述课文。

3) 培养学生运用所学知识进行书面表达的能力。(Write a review)

2. 教学难点  

 运用所学知识进行书面表达。(Write a review of a book.)

【教学过程】

I. 复习热身

1. 检查生词预习

1) First read the words after a student.

2) Then dictate some words:

fisherman (fishermen), feature, photograph, photography, photographer, gallery, energy,

entertainment, latest, display, on display, interest, class, whatever, miss, suggest.

2. 自由交谈

教师活动1:通过提问下面几个问题来复习上节课的内容,让学生给出回答。

学生活动2:用上节课所学的句型,结合自己情况回答老师提出的问题。

 What kind of clothes do you like?

  What’s your favorite movie?

  What kind of writers do you like? 

2) 教师活动:检查上节课的作业,让几个学生朗读他们所写的文章,让其他学生认真听并且找出其中的错误,然后让学生同桌间互换帮忙修改错误。教师在教室里巡视并且提供帮助。

学生活动:认真听同学朗读的自己的文章,找出其中的问题,和同桌互换自己的文章,帮助找出其中的问题并改正。

Ⅱ. Reading practice (3a)

1. Yellow River Fisherman

1) 速读Yellow River Fisherman.

 Ask: What does the reviewer think of the movie?

2) 细读 Read the first one. Discuss and fill in the chart.

3) 朗读

听录音, 让学生跟读,然后自由朗读,最后模仿展示。

2) 细读  Listen to the tape and answer the question: What are on display in this exhibition?

3) 朗读 Amy King, Photography

3. Wild and Windy

1) 速读 Wild and Windy Ask: What’s the name of the band?

2) 细读 Read again. Discuss and fill in the chart.

3) 朗读  学生进一步阅读,教师抽查学生朗读情况,及时纠正读音、语调、停顿等。

4. Intensive reading

教师活动:让学生再进一步阅读,找出短文中的重点句子、短语,发现疑难点,小组内讨论,

学生发言解答,教师适当点拨。

学生活动:近一步阅读课文,找出自己不懂的短语、句子,和同桌讨论重点知识,认真听老师讲解,完成笔记。

Language points:

1) He’s made some great movies over the years.  Over the year 多年来

2) If you’re looking for entertainment, stay at home and watch TV.

3) It does have a few good features, though. 

助动词does 在本句中表示强调,后接动词原形。 a few good features 几个好的特点

4) Be sure to see this exhibition at the gallery.     Be sure to do sth.  务必,一定要做某事

5) one of the best-known Chinese photographers最著名的摄影家之一

6) on display      7) less successful

8) They don’t interest me as much.他们同样唤不起我的兴趣。

interest sb. (in doing sth.) 使某人发生兴趣,引起某人的注意

as much  在句中表示同样的,同等程度的

9) a world-class photographer 一个世界级的摄影家

10) What ever you do, don’t miss this exhibition.无论如何都别错过这次展览。

11) as the name suggests “顾名思义,这个名字表明”,本句是“间接表明、暗示”之义。

如:His pale face suggested that he was in bad health.

多数情况下意指“建议”。suggest sth/doing sth/ suggest + that 从句 /suggest sth to sb.[不说 suggest sb sth]

如: He suggested something to us.    Who suggested doing it this way?

     She suggested that we( should) come another day.  [should+动词时,should可省]

12) have lots of energy 精力充沛

III. Post reading

1. 根据上面问题及表格内的提示的信息复述3a, 12名学生展示。

2. 3b. 教师活动:Read the instructions to the class . Explain the term pro ( in favor of ) and con (against ) .Look at the example and ask the students to write their answers in sentences . Do it in pairs .

学生活动:Listen to the teacher carefully , then talk with partners and fill in the chart using the information from the reviews .

3. 3c 教师活动:Ask the students to discuss in pairs about a book you have read a CD you have listened to or a movie you have seen . And write a review using the information .

学生活动:Talk in pairs and write a review , then read to the class .

评论一般要包括四点:   A. The name of….

             B. What you like and the reason.

             C. What you dislike and the reason.

             D. What it reminds you of….

Recently I listened to a CD called _______________________________________

. 总结反馈

What have we learnt today? Let’s make a summary.

1. How do we write a review?                                            .

2. New phrases:________________________________________________________.

3. Useful expressions:___________________________________________________.

4. 完成学案内容。

V. Homework

1. Read: Read 3a and try to recite it.

2. Oral: Complete “4 ” on P48 in groups.

3. Written: Write a review of a book you have read.
