【教学目标】

知识目标：

1. 掌握以下词汇：honest adj. 诚实的，真诚的 , course n. 课程 , suit v. 适合，使感到满意 , suit sb.(fine) （口语）（很）合某人的意，对某人很合适，expect v. 期待，预料

2. 掌握并运用下列重要短语和句型：

短语：prefer…to…, on a hot day, make me feel sick, to be honest,

      a six-month English course,  be lucky to…, suit me fine

句型：I prefer classical music to pop music.

That man reminds me of my English teacher.

There’s nothing better.

I’m not sure what to expect.

【教学过程】

I.Task1  Class report

1. 值日生报告

 报告的内容必须紧扣本单元话题（Express preferences）。学生对值日生的报告进行讨论，并对报告者提出的问题积极发表自己的意见，畅所欲言。

2. 听写：Dictate some important words and sentences:

prefer…to…, on a hot day, make me feel sick, to be honest,a six-month English course, 

be lucky to…, suit me fine

1) remind of : 提醒，使记起。相关短语：remind sb. to do sth. 提醒某人去做某事，remind sb. that 提醒某人  如：I remind him to study hard .  I remind that he must go home before dark .

2) prefer : 更喜欢。相关短语：prefer A to B = like A better than B 比起A更喜欢B ; prefer to do rather than do ; 宁愿做某事，而不愿做某事。

如：I prefer swimming to skating . I prefer to stay at home rather than go to movies .

III.Task3  Grammar

小组成员利用定语从句对话交流，讨论并总结语法规律，最后做巩固练习。

定语从句：

1) 在复合句中修饰一个名词或代词的从句叫定语从句。被定语从句所修饰的词叫

先行词。定语从句必须放在先行词之后，引导定语从句的词叫关联词或引导词。

2) 人 (n.) + who（或that） + 从句         物 (n.) + that + 从句

3) 关系代词who / that的作用：

       a. 做代词，代替先行词       b. 在从句中担任句子成分：主语或宾语

       c. 做连词，把主句和从句连接起来

4) who / that 在定语从句中做主语时，谓语动词的单复数应与先行词保持一致。
