Step1 Warming up
Learn some new words: born, Martina Hingis, David Beckham
Ask the students some questions to begin the class.
Talk about sports with students. 
Q1: Do you like sports?
Q2: What sports do you like?

Step 2 Speaking
Talk about some international sports stars students like. Make a list of international stars you know. Ask students these questions:
        Q1: Do you like any sports stars?
        Q2: Who do you like and why?

Step 3 Listening
1. Pre-listening
Talk about the four pictures on page53. There are four stars on the pictures.
Say something about these stars.
2. Listening
Listen and write the year the sports star was born under each photo.

 3. Post-listening  Fill the blanks.

2. Ask students to make conversation about " when were you born?"
  For example: when were you born?
