Procedures
Step one: warming-up
  T: What day is it today?
  T: What’s the weather like today?
  T: What kind of weather do you like?
  T: What kind of music do you like? (复习unit 6)
Step two: Presentation
  T: What kind of music is it in the video?  Please watch the video.  (play the video)
T: What are people doing in this video?  Ss: They are traveling.
  Where are they traveling? (Show some pictures)
 
Ss: They are traveling in our hometown---Deqing.
T: what do you think of our hometown?     Ss: It is beautiful.
T: There are many places of interests in our hometown.
 
Look. Where is it?      Ss: Xiazhu Lake.
T: Is it beautiful?         Ss: Yes ,it is.
T: it is beautiful and fascinating. It is fascinating so it has lots of tourists there every year.  So Xiazhu Lake is very touristy.
 
T: is it Xiazhu Lake?     Ss: No, it isn’t. it is Mogan Lake.
T: Mogan Lake is very quiet and it has no waves. It is peaceful.
T: Although it is peaceful, it is very deep. Is it safe to swim in it?
Ss: No. it is dangerous.
 
T: There is Mogan Lake in our hometown. There is also Mogan Mountain. It has nice sights and clean falls. Is Mogan Mountain fascinating?     Ss: Yes,it is.
T: It is very attractive?  It means fascinating.
T: Every year, there is an international competition on Mogan Mountain.  People come from different cities and countries. They get together to climb Mogan Mountain .Is it boring?
Ss: No. it is interesting.
T: Look at the winners.  Are they tired?   Ss: yes.
T: Climbing Mogan Mountain is tiring.
 
T: Which park is it ?  Ss：Chunhui Park.
T: People have lots of things to do in Chunhui Park.
  The girl is relaxing herself. So visiting Chunhui Park is relaxing. (=take it easy)
T: Children are taking boating in Chunhui Park.  Is it fun to taking boats?      Ss: Yes,.it is fun.
T: How do people in the ship feel?  Ss: They are excited.
T: Taking this kind of ships is exciting and thrilling.
 
T: Our hometown is not only famous for nice sights, but also famous for culture and people. Who is he?   Ss: He is Mengjiao.
T: He wrote a poem called“Youziying”. It is educational. It taught us that we should love our mother.

T:We have learnt so many words. Let’s read together.(fascinating…beautiful.). The places of interests in our hometown are beautiful. Such as Xiazhu Lake, Mogan Lake, Mogan Mountain, Mengjiao Temple, Chunhui Park and Xinshi Historic Town.
For me, I would like to visit Chunhui Park because I would love to go somewhere fun. (句型呈现，表意愿)
Where would you like to visit? (句型呈现)
S1: I would like to visit …because I would like to go somewhere …
S2:…. Where would you like to visit?
S3:…. Where would you like to visit?
S4: I would like to visit A because I would like to go somewhere …
T: … would like to visit A. It means she/he hope to visit A some day/ one day. (句型呈现)

T: we have nice sights, famous culture and people in our hometown , we also have delicious food. Would you like something to eat?（表提议，邀请）   Ss:  Yes, please.
(teach  mutton   bamboo shoot   bean tea )
Step three: Drill
T: I believe everyone knows our hometown very well.
  Would you like to visit other cities or foreign countries?
Ss: Yes, we’d love to.
T:(show three pictures.) where is it?   Ss: it is Florida beach/ Niagara Falls/ Amazon Jungle.
T: What can you do there?
T-s: I can swim/ take boating/ play beach volleyball on Florida beach.
T-s: I can go sightseeing in Niagara Falls
T-s: I can trek through the jungle. ( go trekking in the jungle)
T: There are three travel posters .where would Sam and Gina  like to go?  Please turn to page 52. look at part 1b.listen and fill in the chart.(play the recorder  then check answers)
T: change two sentences into one.
  Sam likes Brazil. He can go trekking in Brazil.
 --- Sam likes Brazil where he can go trekking.（句型呈现）
 Gina likes Florida. She can relax in Florida.
--- Gina likes Florida where she can relax.
----I like places where…（句型呈现）
T: where would Sam and Gina’s friends like to visit?  Please look at part 2a.  first go through the statements. Then listen and number in the order.(Ss:3-4-1-2)
T: listen again. Why do people decide not to visit the places . please find out the reasons. (Ss: b-a-c-d)
Step four： Practice
T: after about two months, our winter vacation is coming. Where would you like to go on vacation?  Four students a group to discuss. One student write a short report.
(discuss and call out some groups to read their report)
T: summarize: wherever  you visit, we should protect our earth and the environment. It is our home.（情感教育）
Step five: exercise and homework
1. write a short passage.
2. finish off exercise book.
