The main activities are 1a and 2. 本课重点活动是1a和2。

Ⅰ. Teaching aims and demands 教学目标

1. Learn some useful words and expressions:

It’s time to…, go home, clever, animal, next, next time, get, get up, have breakfast.

2. Talk about preference:

—What are your favorite animals, Jane?

—Elephants.

3. Talk about time and daily activities:

—Excuse me, what time is it, please?

—It’s a quarter past six.

—It’s time to get up.

Step 1  Review 第一步  复习(时间:12分钟)

1. (通过快速地呈现动物图片,对学生进行头脑风暴式训练,让学生在紧张而愉快的气氛中复习所学过的动物名称。)

T:   Hello! Boys and girls! Do you like animals?

Ss: Yes.

(板书)

animals

(教师举起手中所有的图片。)

T:   Are they nice?

Ss: Yes, they are.

T:   Do you know their names?

Ss: Yes, we do.

T: OK. I’ll show you the pictures one by one. You must tell me the names of the animals in two seconds. Do you understand?

Ss: Yes.

T:   OK, let’s begin. Are you ready? Go!

(教师迅速抽出一张图片。)

T:   What’s this in English?

Ss: It’s a panda.

(动物单词如下:)

panda, monkey, lion, tiger, elephant, cat, dog, rabbit

T: Well done! You are very clever.

(板书)

2. (通过复习favorite star引出favorite animals。)

T:   S1, please tell me who is your favorite star?

S1: ××× is my favorite star.

T:   How about you, S2?

S2: ××× is my favorite star.

(这时老师突然话题一转,问另一位同学最喜欢的动物,并呈现动物图片。)

T:   What are your favorite animals?

S3: My favorite animals are cats.

S4: My favorite animals are dogs.

T: Now, the next, S5, what are your favorite animals?

S5: My favorite animals are elephants.

T:   Yes, you’re right. You can also say“Elephants are my favorite.”

Step 2  Presentation 第二步  呈现(时间:8分钟)

1. (了解图画信息,呈现活动情景,培养学生口头表达能力。)

T: Now look at the pictures on Page 95. What can you see?

S1: I can see Kangkang, Michael, Jane and Maria.

S2: I can see a dog Bobby.

S3: I can see a lion and an elephant.

2. (1)T: OK, very good. You all watch it carefully. Listen to the tape and answer the following

           questions.

 (听1a录音,设置并板书听力任务,让学生带着任务听录音。)

①How many kinds of animals are there in the dialog?

②What are they?

③What are Jane’s favorite animals?

④Why does she like them?

(2)(可让学生相互讨论给出答案,老师最后核对。一定要让学生上台前写句子,培养整句意识。)

(参考答案如下:)

①There are four kinds of animals.

②They are monkeys, pandas, elephants and tigers.

③Jane’s favorite animals are elephants.

④Because they are so kind and they have long noses.

3. (让学生挑出本段对话的关键词,挑出一个给1分,为下一步学生不看书自由表演打下基础。)

T: OK, just now we listened to the dialog and watched the pictures. You must know the meaning of the dialog. Please find the key words of the dialog. If you find one, you can get one point. OK, let’s begin. The faster, the better.

(教师板书参考关键词。)

Step 3  Consolidation 第三步  巩固(时间:10分钟)

1. (老师再次放录音1a,让学生跟读,并用铅笔标出语调。)

T: Follow the tape and mark intonation with your pencils.

2. (先让学生按铅笔标出的语调自读,然后擦去语调符号,跟录音一起读,逐句校对语调。)

T: Read the dialog freely according to the intonation marks. Then rub them off and read after the tape, check your intonation sentence by sentence. Are you ready? Go!

3. (学生4人一组不看书,只看黑板上的关键词表演1a。完成1a。)

4. (根据1a回答问题,完成1b。)

5. (仿照1a,四人一组表演一个相似的对话,完成1c。)

T:   Well done, boys and girls. Now let’s read 1a again and put on a similar short paly.

(先让学生四人一组准备,后叫两到三组同学上台前表演。)

Example:

(At Xiao Ming’s home)

Xiao Ming: What time is it?

Xiao Gang: It’s 10 o’clock.

Xiao Ming: Are we all here?

Xiao Wu and Xiao Dan: Yes, we are.

Xiao Ming: Let’s go.

(On the farm)

Xiao Ming: Look at those pigs. They are so fat. I like them very much.

Xiao Gang: I like dogs. They can look after houses and they are clever. What are your favorite animals, Xiao Wu?

Xiao Wu:   I like rabbits. They’re so kind and they have red eyes. What about you, Xiao Dan?

Xiao Dan: Cats. They are very cute.

Xiao Wu:   Oh, what’s the time now?

Xiao Gang: Mmm. It’s a quarter to twelve. It’s time to go home.

Xiao Wu:   Yes. We have to go now.

All:             Goodbye, animal friends! See you next time.

Step 4  Practice 第四步  练习(时间:8分钟)

1. (通过“人体钟”游戏——左右手充当钟的时针和分针,来复习时间表达法。)

(1)(解读“人体钟”游戏方法:主持人发令“Ready? Go!”, 作“钟”的同学摆出姿势,其他同学根据姿势猜时刻,如猜对了,“钟”点头说“Good job!”;若猜错了,“钟”摇头说“Good but try again.”如此重复。每个“钟”表演三次,看谁的表演有创意就加2分。)

T: Hello, boys and girls. We have learnt how to express the point of time. Now, let’s review it. Do you want to play a game?

Ss: Yes.

T:   OK, let’s play a game called“Body clocks”. I’ll ask a student to act as a“clock”. His/Her left hand is the hour hand and his/her right hand is the minute hand. He/She makes a posture. The other students guess what time it is! If you guess it correctly, the “clock” will nod his/her head and say “Good job!” If you guess it wrongly, the“clock”will shake his/her head and say“Good but try again”; Every“Body clock”can make three postures. The student who performs best will get 2 points. Do you understand?

(教师边说边用自己的身体示范,方便学生理解。)

(2)(评出最佳。)

2. (结合3对应的活动,复习时刻表达法,练习句型It’s time to do sth.)

(1)(明确题意,准备练习。)

T:   Just now. We reviewed how to say the point of time. If it is a quarter past seven, what do you usually do?

S1: I usually go to school.

T:   Yes, it’s time to go to school. If it is twelve o’clock, what do you usually do?

S2: I usually have lunch.

T:   Yes, you’re right. It’s time to have lunch. Now look at the pictures and the example, make up conversations about each picture.

(2)(学生两人一组仿照例子组成新的对话。教师指导并叫两组同学表演对话。完成3。)

T:   OK. Stop here! I’ll ask two groups to act their conversations out.

T:   Which group do you think is the best?

(学生自评,充分发扬民主。)

Ss: ××× and ×××.

3. (听力训练。教师播放2录音,让学生根据听到的描述的顺序给2中的图画标号。)

T:   Now let’s do some listening exercises. Listen to the descriptions and number the pictures in the order you hear.

(师生核对答案。完成2。)

4. (听力训练。教师播放4录音,让学生填空。)

T: Listen and fill out the table.

(教师核对答案。完成4。)

Step 5  Project 第五步  综合探究活动(时间:7分钟)

1. (“人体钟”游戏——复习时间表达法、巩固本节课所学的日常活动。)

(1)测测灵敏度。

(教师先选几个志愿者当“人体钟”。主持人发言后,看同学们谁最先举手谁就说出一个日常活动名称如“get up”“人体钟”根据指令做出反应,一边做出“起床”的“时刻”,一边说出大致时间,如“seven o’clock”如说的和做的相符,说明“钟”的灵敏度高,奖励1分;如不符,回座位换另一个“钟”。)

T:   Hello, boys and girls, let’s play a game to review how to express the point of time and consolidate the daily activities that we learn today. Are you ready?

Ss: Yes, we are. Yeah!

T:   First, all of you should try to get the chance by putting up your hands quickly. Second, the student who wins the chance says a daily activity. Third, the“Body clock”acts out the time according to the activity and says the point of time at the same time. If the time that the“Body clock”acts out is right. He/she will get one point. If he/she acts out wrongly, he must go back and we will change another“Body clock”. Do you understand?

(教师要边说边示范讲解,以便学生完全明白游戏的要领。)

(2)(教师总结,表扬优秀。激动后进。)

2. Homework:
