2. Go on learning the present simple passive voice.

Step 1  Review 第一步  复习(时间:10分钟)

1. (分组竞赛，每小组选出一名，让学生应用被动语态造句。)

  S₁:       English is widely used throughout the world now.

  S₂:       Trees are planted in Spring.

    S₃:       Cartoon characters are enjoyed by most of children.

S₄:       The cars are produced in Japan.

(尽可能让学生多说句子，调动学生积极性，营造和谐课堂气氛。)

(教师进行归纳总结，后让学生独立完成3，并板书于黑板上，纠正出现的错误，让学生更清晰地掌握被动语态。)

T: You all speak very well. Pay attention to “be (am. is. are)+p. p. ”. Now open your books and turn to P56, look at the Example in Part 3.

(与学生一起复习主动语态和被动语态之间的转换，以避免一些容易出现的错误。)

T: Please follow the example to make sentences, write them down on your books. And I’ll ask five students to write their answers on the blackboard, … Now, who can? S₆, S₇, S₈, …, please.

T:    OK, let’s go on practising speaking like the example. One student says a sentence with the active voice. His/Her partner changes it with the passive voice. Is it easy?

2. (承接Section A，复习讲英语的国家，以旧带新，导入新单词。)

T:    Your English is spoken very well, who can tell me in which countries people speak English? S₁₃, please.

T: We can also say English is spoken as the first language in Great Britain, America, Australia …

T:  But if your English is very poor, you are going to America on business and will have a long conversation with a businessman. What will you do?(教师解读生词。)

T:    Good idea! He can translate your words into English. He is an interpreter.

Step 2  Presentation 第二步  呈现(时间:5分钟)

1. (教师用幻灯片或小黑板呈现下列问题，要求学生带着问题听1a录音。)

①Where’s Jane’s father going? ②Will Jane’s father have any trouble there?

T: Now Jane’s father want to go abroad. Now listen to the tape and answer the questions.

(核对答案，对于学生的错误答案不急于更正，再放一遍录音，训练学生捕捉正确信息的能力。)

2. (学生快速阅读对话，找出难点。)

T: Have you finished reading the dialog?

Ss:      Yes.

T: OK. If you have something you can’t understand, please hands up. S₁.

S₁:       I don’t know the meaning of the word “similar”.

(板书并讲解)

T: It means “almost the same but not exactly the same”.

(找出两个相似的文具。)

T: Are these two pencil-boxes similar?

Ss:      Yes, they are.

T: This pencil-box is similar to that one.

S₂:       What’s the meaning of “possible”?

T: It means“able to be done or likely to happen or exist”.

(板书)

3. (学生完成1b。先猜测所含生词的意思，后核对答案，讲解生词。让学生掌握similar, translate, conversation。)

Step 3  Consolidation 第三步  巩固(时间:10分钟)

1. (学生进行分组练习，对练1a，后进行表演, 为下步打下基础。一定要给出较充裕的时间，让学生能较流畅的表演。 )

T: OK, boys and girls, please practise the dialog with your partner. After that, act it out in front of the class.

(五分钟后，让几组学生来表演。)

2. (对1a进行复述或改编，达到学以致用的目的。)

(方案一): (教师给出关键词，让学生以第三人称的方式复述1a。)

T: Who can retell the dialog in your own words? You can begin like this: Jane’s father is packing his bags now. He’s going to Cuba on business…

(让1~2名程度好的学生复述课文，能够起到很好的示范作用。)    

(方案二)：(如果学生的程度很好，教师可以不只简单地让学生表演对话，还可以在对话的基础上加以创新，但主题思想不变，依然是练习句子中的有用词组。)

                  For example:

                  S₁: Xiu Mei, why are you packing your bags?

S₂: I’m going to Beijing.

S₁: That’s great. There are many places of interest in Beijing, such as the Great Wall, the Summer Palace and so on.

S₂: Yes, the Great Wall is enjoyed by many people every year.

S₁: Oh, you know, it is possible that you will meet some trouble when you are on your trip. You’re a stranger.

S₂: It doesn’t matter. I will take a map with me. If necessary, I’ll ask the policeman for help.

S₁: OK! Have a good trip then!

Step 4  Practice 第四步  练习(时间:10分钟)

1. (以小组合作的方式自学2a，并回答下列问题，用幻灯片或小黑板出示下列问题。)

①Why does Jane’s father have no trouble understanding people from different countries? ②In which country is English spoken as the first language? ③When does Jane’s father need an interpreter? ④What does an interpreter do?

(核对答案时，若有较多学生不理解课文，对错误答案先不纠正，进行后面的讲解后再回答。)

2. (1)(鼓励学生提出小组合作仍未解决的问题，对重点内容进行板书和讲解。)
