Teaching Procedures

Step 1 Revision and Presentation

What type of film is your favorite? Why?

Sandy and Kitty are talking about different kinds of films. Listen and answer, and then make the similar dialogue in part B on page 93 Replace the underlined words with your own ideas.

Step 2 Practice

Work in pairs, talk about your different ideas about the different types of films.

Some useful vocabulary:

fantasy, relax, angry, funny, romance, awful, funny, angry, happy, sad, boring, scary, interesting, special effects, joke, exciting, terrible, thoughtful, unrealistic

Step 3 Presentation

There is a film festival in Sunshine Town. Sandy is the member of the Drama Club. He’s writing a report on some of the films. Look at Sandy’s film guide in Part A1 on page 92, and then fill in as many blanks as possible according to the information you have read in the table.

Step 4 Listening

Listen to the tape carefully, try to tell the types and the storylines of the following three films. Then fill in the rest blanks in part A1 on page 92.

Step 5 Practice

Help Sandy complete the report. You can use the information in part A1 on page 92. Then read it.

Step 6 Consolidation
