Structural Adjustment: General Trend for Energy in 2009
With the advent of a dazzling array of energy policies of project inauguration, merger and recombination, energy cooperation between provincial and municipal levels, and adjustment of long / medium term plan, there are taking place changes in the areas of supply, demand, industry distribution, and technology. The range of ongoing structural adjustment, which is unprecedented, is determined by the four factors: the central government’s resolution to expand inner demand, promote energy saving and emission reduction, and fortify energy control, the local government’s willingness to elongate energy industries chain and maintain the GDP growth, the energy enterprises’ reasonableness to take full advantage of policies and to plan in long term, and the mass’ enthusiasm to save energy and transform their living habit.
