今天是第六天，让我们来学习一种很简单的句型：Be型主——系——表结构的否定句型。

    首先对“Be型主——系——表结构”这个名称进行一下说明。前面我们今本上学习了两大类主——系——表结构的句型，其中一类所用的系动词是“Be”，如“某物是某物”、“某物在某处”、“某物怎么样”和“某处有某物”这四种句型，其中的系动词用的都是”be”；另一类所用的系动词不是 “be”，而是“become”、“stay”、“seem”、“turn”、“go”等所谓的“半系动词”（因为这些动词在很多场合下不一定当作系动词，故得到此名称）。现在本篇中所谓的“Be型主——系——表结构”，专门指上述第一类情况，也就是说，指的是所用的系动词是“Be”，如“某物是某物”、“某物在某处”、“某物怎么样”和“某处有某物”这四种句型。由此可见，本篇所要谈的，原来就是“某物是某物”、“某物在某处”、“某物怎么样”和“某处有某物”这四种句型的否定形式，也就是说我们要来学习“某物不是某物”、“某物不在某处”、“某物不怎么样”和“某处没有某物”这四种句型。

    其实这四种句型都很简单，构成规则也一样，所以我们把它们归属为一个句型。其构成规则就是在系动词be的后面加上“not”这个单词，就形成了其相应的否定句型。其具体的基本格式情况如下：

    某物不是某物：A + be not + B

    某物不在某处：A + be not + 在B处

    某物不怎么样：某物 +be not + 形容词

    某处没有某物：There be not + 某物 + 在某处

    以下是例句，请熟读：

     1.  David's brother is not a government official.
         大卫的哥哥不是政府官员。
 
     2.  My father is not a doctor
         我父亲不是医生
 
     3.  The tall building is not a five-star hotel.
         那座高楼不是五星级酒店。
 
     4.  The doctor is not a surgeon.
         那名医生不是外科医生。
 
     5.  The teachers are not my co-workers.
         那些老师不是我的同事。

     6.  The electric light is not over the table.
         那盏电灯不在桌子的正上方。

     7.  The stream is not in front of the high mountain.
         那条小溪不在那高高的大山之前面
 
     8.  The knives, forks and spoons are not inside the cabinet.
         刀、叉和勺子不在橱子里面.
 
     9.  The old woman is not in the front of the bus.
         那位老太太不在公共汽车的前部。
 
    10.  The new park is not east of the expressway.
         那个新公园不在高速公路以东。

    11、 All the women here are not well-dressed.
         这儿不是所有的女人都穿着很好。    （注意该句话的部分否定意义）

    12、 Sometimes the little girl is not generous.
         有时候那位小姑娘不挺大方的。 
      
    13、 My brother is not young.
         我弟弟不小啦。
 
    14、 All his co-workers are not smart.
         不是所有他的同事们都精明。         （注意该句话的部分否定意义）

15、 My brother’s car is not blue.
         我哥哥那辆小汽车不是蓝色的。

      16、 There are not any cars and jeeps in the street.

          街上没有小汽车和吉普车。
 

      17、 There is not only one tractor on the road.

           路上不是只有一台拖拉机。
 

      18、 There are not any kitchen utensils in the shop window..

         商店橱窗里没有厨房用品。
 

      19、 There are not 2 teachers of English and a teacher of Chinese in theoffice.

         办公室里没有两名英语教师和一名汉语教师。
 

      20、 There is not any useful knowledge in this book.

         这本书里没任何有用的知识。

注意，is + not 常缩写成isn’t

      are + not 常缩写成 aren’t
