作者是南非女诗人英格丽·琼蔻（Ingrid Jonker）。1994 年南非总统曼德拉在全世界瞩目的就职典礼上朗诵她的诗作《尼昂加死去的孩子》。她最负盛名的作品即为诗集《黑蝶漫舞》。奥斯卡女导演宝拉凡德奥斯特（ Paula van der Oest）将女诗人的传奇一生拍成电影《Black Butterflies》，台译名《黑蝶漫舞》。
