在课堂上跟大家讲过，要攻克托福iBT这样高分高能的考试，最有效全面提升能力的途径就是永争去的方法看美剧，具体操作方式请参见 《看时装盛宴学英语》。我自己一直保持着每天至少看一小时英语电视的习惯，为自己创造语言环境，又能寓学习工作于乐。最近美剧荒，就找了一堆真人秀来看，推荐几个时尚类与同好共享。

The series follows the life of celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe and her attempts to balance her professional life with her personal life while dealing with her fighting assistants and her husband-partner Rodger Berman. The Rachel Zoe Project also features Zoe's longtime assistant Taylor Jacobsen and Brad Goreski, Jacobsen's newly hired assistant who clash due to conflicting personalities.

爱欧美风的同学应该对RACHEL ZOE不会感到陌生，她是近年美国最炙手可热的造型师，客户包括Nicole Richie, Cameron Diaz, Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, Keira Knightley,  Jessica Simpson，Jennifer Garner……

其中最有名的“作品”应该就是Nicole Richie，被她改造得天翻地覆，从衣着暴露品味恶俗的小肥妞儿变成了骨感飘飘欲仙的fashion icon。有人说NR的新形象就是根据RZ自己的品味来的，招牌大墨镜，简单利落的服装线条配上oversize的夸张配件，当然还少不了LOUBOUTIN为主的致命诱惑高跟鞋，整体带一些70年代的复古感。

在时尚圈里摸爬滚打20年，今天的Rachel Zoe俨然新一代时尚教母，每季被她看上的单品都仿佛被点石成金，成为it item。这个节目带大家看到幕后她的工作团队，如何在高压之下努力工作打造明星们的华丽亮相。最让我欣赏的是Rachel对时尚那份热情和执着，这应该是她成功的最大原因吧。

Tim Gunn is back to offer women some much-needed fashion guidance.

The fashion guru returns for his second season of "Tim Gunn's Guide to Style" on Thursday, Oct. 2 at 11 p.m. ET/PT, before moving to its regular timeslot on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 10 p.m.

This time around, he's accessorized with a new fashion accomplice, Gretta Monahan, a fashion expert, stylist and salon/spa owner. She replaces model Veronica Webb who aided Gunn in his freshman season.

"I am absolutely crazy about Gretta and together she and I want every woman to achieve her perfect signature look," says Gunn. "It takes hard work and commitment to look good, but it should also be fun – our hope is that we'll inspire women everywhere to put their best foot forward and with cute shoes, too!"

Monahan adds, "For years, I've been styling a range of clients from real women to red carpet celebrities both on and off-camera and in my experience, I have never encountered a show like this, which proves style is not superficial."

In each episode, Gunn and Monahan will team up to help the self-proclaimed style-challenged make themselves over using Gunn's rules. Monahan will guide the women's choices on shopping challenges.

看过Project Runway的人应该对这位大叔不会感到陌生吧，他效力美国著名时装学院Parson's School Of Design超过二十年，现任入Liz Claiborne首席创意总监，在《天桥骄子》中以fashion mentor（时尚导师）的身份出现，给选手们中肯又积极地建议，赢尽观众爱戴，还出过一本Tim Gunn: A Guide to Quality, Taste & Style。这是他自己的真人秀节目，旨在帮助各行各业的普通女性观众找到自己的风格，塑造时尚又得体的形象，增加她们的自信。我刚看了几集，觉得非常有参考价值。普通人不会有模特那样完美的身材，挑选衣服时诸多烦恼，Tim叔叔正是教大家如何扬长避短，穿出经典又优雅的味道。而且此节目融合了多个时尚品牌和大牌设计师的crossover，很有看头。

这个秀我只用说一句，堪称Gossip Girl的真人版，里面女的美男的帅，养眼程度绝对比GG有之过而无不及。女主角Whitney Port之前出演过热门真人秀The Hill，身高起码一米八，一双腿那是长得无边无际，不过要论长相我还是更喜欢左边那位Olivia Palermo。

长得跟B有几分挂像，本身就是名媛的Olivia简直甜美到迷死人，第一次看到照片就觉得世界上怎么会有人美成这样，看这个片子也主要是冲着她。但看完有点confused，不知道她本人是否就像片中那样外表甜美内心bitchy，傲慢自大虚情假意，踩着别人的肩膀往上爬。这毕竟是真人秀，应该不会照着剧本演的吧？不过要是真的，倒是可以理解她为什么被称为Blair的原型了，我还是光看她的照片过瘾好了。

关于这个新的口语资料，因为某些原因我不方便介绍太多，请大家点击以下链接直接下载。只能说我跟申洁老师研究过，这的确是06，07年的口语真题，听力部分应该是自己制作的，从速度和语音语调上跟实际考试有少许差别，但是用来自己练习还是很好的材料。不知道这会不会导致ETS废掉这批题出新的，总之着重提高综合能力是最重要的啦！
