greatdeutschmark在提供译文之后，还特地说明如下：

A saying goes like this:” Take care of penny, so pound will take care of itself." That explains my translation above. （居士注：更为常见的说法是使用penny的复数形式。如：Take care of the pence and the pound will take care of themselves.）

经考虑，居士认为以上三译，greatdeutschmark之译乃佳译也！

 “你不理财，财不理你”- 容易上口，渐成一句流行语，套用英语的一句俗话译之，在表达形式上有合拍之处。

英谚Take care of the pence and the pound will take care of themselves. 的相应汉语表达是：金钱积少便成多。

Greatdeutschmark能活用此句，将Take care of the pence改成If you leave pence alone，“你不理财”的意思就在其中了，虽然比较模糊，但是，符合原句的模糊，因为，“理财”是一个并不清晰的概念呀，可以是“先算后花钱”，可以是“注意积少成多”，甚至可以是“善于投资”的意思（也许是现在社会流行此语的主要含义）。

居士本打算明确译出“投资/investment”的意思，但是与我女儿（上海滩知名译员，曾在英美各留学一年，获英国剑桥大学硕士学位）反复商量之后，认为，不宜硬译investment。再与译界别的教授商量，他们也认为，不宜硬译。

而greatdeutschmark之译 - If you leave penny alone, pound will not take care of itself.妙就妙在维持了原句的模糊美，以模糊译模糊。你如果不“先算后花钱”、不“注意积少成多”、不“善于投资”，那么，the pound will not take care of themselves - 你也发不了财，发不了大财！

居士在《翻译美学》专著中曾经有如此论断：

    俗语（idiom）之流行，之被欣赏，之被接受，一个重要原因是其含义朦胧，在表情达意的同时，给人一种模糊美。故以俗语译俗语，常可以模糊译模糊。

   此言，可以作为我比较认同Greatdeutschmark译文的一个理由吧。
