一、提议开会
工作中,可能你发现问题需要与各方进行电话会议讨论,你得先写封邮件,说明开会的事由和时间,再问别人开会时间是否合适。
例子1:
We are proposing to hold a telephone conference on [星期几], [日期] 2007 at [具体时间]. to obtain a status update on the project.
Please confirm your availability.
注:“请确认你能否参加”这句话中的“参加”用的是availability,其实中文也有相应的说法,即有没时间,是否有空。
例子2:
We propose to have a short call early next week Wednesday if possible) to discuss the proposed [事项]. Please let us know if you are available so that we will circulate a dial-in afterwards.
二、确认能否开会
1. 有其他的会议,没法参加:
As we have another meeting which may not end by [时间], will it be possible to have the telephone conference at [你觉得合适的时间]?
注:提议新的时间的时候,用的will it be possible to……
2. 周一的任何时间都可以,但是上午11点半到下午2点半不行
any time on Monday (other than from 11.30am to 2.30pm)
3. 下午1点到2点没空
We will not be available from 1pm to 2pm..
4. 我们三点可以
3pm is fine/ok with us.
